iDrive Welcome Screen Coding

My 2020 M2C doesn't have the welcome screen (a screen with your name that pops up when you start the car: see picture below) enabled like some of the other BMWs with NBT EVO do. My 2019 G30 had this, and I'm wondering how I can enable it in my M2C. I couldn't find any information anywhere, but I did see this section on Bimmercode's website about "start screen." Could this be it?

Any info on this would be appreciated.

Not happening. That's an iDrive 7 feature.

The "start screen" they may be referring to might be what's commonly called the "lawyer screen" - a disclaimer you have to dismiss or wait to go away. Easily coded out with Bimmercode.

Thanks for the input. But the welcome screen being an ID7 only feature is untrue. My '19 G30 with ID6 had it and so did other loaners with ID6.

I was playing around with some Bimmercode settings over the weekend, and I believe there was an option for the welcome screen in the Headunit under "display options iDrive system", just like what you showed in your OP. Our M2s come with NBT-EVOs so just like you suspected, it should be codable. I would code that in and see if that works.

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I had to undo my Apple CarPlay coding in order to access “Headunit” coding in Bimmercode.

Anyway, it did not work. Enabling “start screen” just resulted in a black screen instead of the legal disclaimer when iDrive booted up. Bummer.

iDrive 7 showed up on the G30 as of 07/19 production.

My 530e was pre 7/19 production. I got the car on the April of 2019.

Do you know the hex code required to change to that value? Bimmercode doesn't have it listed.

Coding pwf_welcome did not yield the welcome screen I desired. Seems like something else has to be changed/updated.

No updates since my last post. Still waiting for someone to figure out the codes required to make it work.
