That being said, I gave up my no. 1 M2 allocation for an F80.
Was it the lease rates?

Haha partially! Though, I had figured purchasing would be the better option for the M2 anyway.

But mostly I wanted the opposite of many members on this board, and that is a larger car. I've grown tired of some of the compromises I've had to make with my 135...in other words, I'm tired of going to Costco and not being able to buy paper towels and toilet paper in the same trip. Ha!

Regardless of my decision, I'm still excited to see customer deliveries start happening!

Sounds great man. Enjoy it in good health.

Don't you hate when that happens, regarding the paper towels? That's why I've also got a hatchback.

Both sound terrible you guys are high. That was always my complaint about my F80.

BMW dropped the ball big time on exhaust of this generation. Doesn't make sense to disregard the most visceral part of the sports car experience.

You forgot the seats...though the interior seems to have fallen by the wayside in deference to details like "fun" and "involvement"

Would love to hear how the new comp pack sports exhaust on the M3/M4 sounds against the M2. Can't really tell the difference from the Auto Express review.

That's odd.
I thought the driving part was the most visceral.
Not the listening-to-iPhone-videos part.

But hey. That's just me.

He drives an Audi. Don't knock the man for not knowing what a viseral driving experience is. It's not his fault.

Hear it yet? The M2 is revving most of the video and every now and then you will hear little fart sounds trying to come through. That's the M4 doing its thing.

InB4 pointless E46 M3 comparisons.
Why pointless e46 comparisons? I'm sure we all wish the car was a carbon copy of the e46 and not a wide body m235 / f80 hybrid. Love the M2, but it would be cool if it had a higher revving engine that was unique to it.
