I am 51, have 3 childs, 2 family cars and love to play with my toys: M2C 21 and 1M 12, age is subjective, its in your mind.

Huh.
There are a lot of people like that. It does get a bit harder to move back from an electric car. You start to expect instant acceleration. The tradeoff is that you don't feel much when you drive. The Model S is actually quite good for its size, but it's not good if you're comparing it to a car like the M2C. It does kind of feel like an appliance on wheels. Instead of an iPad, maybe it's more like a refrigerator with wheels. I test drove the Model 3 Performance and it is much better in that regard. Much more nimble. But it still feels like a video game to me. It's super agile and fast, but kind of feels like a laser beam. I don't know how how else to describe it. I can see how many people would like to drive them and they are probably one of the the fastest, if not the fastest, street cars you can get. And the technology is beyond anything else out there. It's just not my cup of tea, especially the interior that looks to be designed to be a robo-taxi.

As far as the Apple cult like following, yeah, I wouldn't dare to write the above in a Tesla forum. I would get torched and called a troll.

Tesla has an apple-like cult following. They do love them, but they are looking for a tech appliance. It serves that purpose. I'm not ready for to give up the sound, smell, and feel of an ICE just yet.
I am preparing to be flamed here, but not sure what all the Tesla hate is about. I have a Model 3 that my wife drives and its brilliant for its intendant purpose. I have a M2C showing up in 2 weeks because I need more for my DD. Two different tools in the box. Nothing wrong with that

EV Daily + Sports Car is the best Garage Combo in my opinion. I agree, the Tesla's are great cars, the owners/fanbase however is much worse than that of us BMW owners

Completely agree. If I could, I would keep the Tesla and get me a fun M2C on the side. Perfect combo. I do not bash Tesla at all. They are outstanding cars.

Ok boomer, if you have to ask if you're too old for the M2...then you ARE too old.

50 is Gen X. A boomer wouldn't even ask, they'd do what they wanna do, feel what they wanna feel, yeh.

Curious to hear your thought and comparison of the M2C to the other 8 M cars.

This is definitely a first world problem, but now that the Tesla tech amazingness has worn off, I just drive it around like a minivan. Whenever I hear Elon Musk talk about the next advance in self driving, rather than being appropriately excited, I think.. oh great, so we will make driving even more boring.

I test drove a M2C about a year ago and my reaction was.. "it's alive!" I loved it. But at "my age" I'm debating if an M3/M4 is more appropriate. Or even a 911, although I'm loathe to spend that kind of money on a car. Is the M2C more of a car for 20 year olds or 30 year olds? This sounds like a stupid question in my head even as I type it. But it's a thing. You know, I shouldn't be wearing skinny jeans at some point either (not that they fit me, but you know what I mean).
As long as you don't get stuck driving in first gear you aren't too old for it 😜

I think that it is closest in character to the E46 M3 CS also a “Run out” version which had the steering rack, brakes and a few more bits from the CSL. I had a standard e46 M3 prior to the CS it had the SMG gearbox my CS was a manual.

Still to reach the 1200 mile service (for the E46s it was free !!) but very impressed with the M2 so far. I is quite wide for a fairly small car but getting used to it. Thing I miss most is the HUD which I had on M3comp pack and the M40i which I had most recently. Fuel tank could be bigger. Finish and seats very good. It looks terrific and has had a lot of favourable comments in a short time.

I went for Alpine White as I have had a couple of cars that colour and got great deal on what I think was a cancelled order, might have gone for Yas Marina if available.

Get a 911. M2C screams early/mid career professional car.

I'm 78. I've owned BMW since 1968. My last three new M5s were great but I swear my M2C is a lot more fun.
