My car has been sitting for several weeks, and it’s really cold, figured it might have to do with some rust build up on the rotors or something. But I have no idea what I am talking about

Normal with any high performance brakes. After experiencing the bloody murder from PFC08 pads, nothing is loud anymore.
Apply some pad paste if it's really bothering you. These calipers are super easy to service. |

I'm at 2300 miles and they come and go. A few weeks ago they were pretty loud but nothing much since.

Yep, very noisy brakes. I assumed though that it was expected, since they only squeal under light braking such as the last 10 feet before a red light. Slightly embarrassing though for around town driving, oh well.

Ditto for me, from near new to my current 10k miles. Occasional squeal is somewhat expected given the performance nature of the brakes.
I finally had a chance to do a bedding in exercise to clean the rotors up from my fall track days so I'll see if that helps. I did 5 hard repeated stops from 60-80 mph. It didn't fade them at all.

I have a feeling it has to do with the increased size of the pads and rotors. Or maybe the pads vibrate too much in the 2NH calipers. |

Normal to hear the pad noise rolling to a stop...Usually from the rears. I've lived with it on several cars now. One way to possibly reduce or eliminate the noise at runout is to make a couple really hard stops (ABS kicks on) That usually re-beds the pads in the rear where deposits build up if you only daily drive the car.. Its funny but my Ferodo 2500's On the Essex BBK aren't making any noise at all... Where my OEM's did a tad

650 miles here, and squealing experienced as well. Squeal only noticed at the end of braking, as I'm coming to/approaching a completed stop (vs. throughout entire braking).

Happens on both the OG M2 with the blue calipers as well as the larger 2NH brakes on the M2c. It's weird because they have weights on top of the pads to prevent squeaking, but they still squeak at low speeds just before coming to a stop. Haven't come across a way to fix it unless you replace pads and/or rotors.
That moment when you pull up to a drive-thru and both you and the person working cringe when the brakes squeak like a dying pig... the worst. |

It depends on the pitch of the squeak; if the frequency is above 6000 hz but below 7000 hz, you're okay, if it is below or above, your car will explode.
I'm kidding, this has been discussed to death on this forum. Its normal.
