Agree^^^

BTW, I Have the same Hurricane interior in my cosmos 95 M3 (yes OEM) minus CF Dash inserts. Although it isn't an LTW, it was, and still is, a great driver's car!!!

Very well said. I really enjoy driving and DE tracking my M2 about 30 days/yr , but would appreciate a little less weight and some more power, so I am first on my dealers list for the CS....should be the same, but better. As to the GTS, it will be too much tech, bling and money for everyone except a rare few.

LTW or CSL, both would work for me.

This is exactly what I'm looking for, and would love to see them bring back the LTW moniker. I guess that's kind of what the Performance Edition is like, but I'd want something even more extreme than that, even though I know it'll never happen.

-Manual, non heated, cloth Seats
-6MT
-Aluminum doors
-CF roof and trunk
-Idrive delete

Don't care about lap times, just want something enjoyable.

The only reason I could see them cancelling the regular M2 LCI would be for production capacity. They already have trouble squeezing the current M2 in, and now they'd be adding another "non-limited" model?

The profit margin on the current M2 is pretty small but will likely be much higher on a CS model. So from a business standpoint if you have X number of production slots per month for an M2/M2CS, it's better to fill all of them with the M2CS if you know it will sell (the current M2 proved it will...maybe that was the plan from the beginning?)

Per the F8x forum, the M4 CS is set to debut at Shanghai auto show

Comes with those new 763m wheels per the teaser pics. Should be interesting and a good insight into the M2 CS.

Hopefully we learn about the LCI for the M2 and the M2 CS soon. Im mulling an available 2018 M2 allocation vs a CS, and would like to know what im deciding between haha

There will not be a CSL unless BMW ramps up the weight on the M2 CS and then loses it again on the CSL. There could be a GTS coming to the US.

I don't want a roll cage and giant gaudy spoilers. I don't want a GTS

I want a CSL/LTW.

Are you listening BMW? No, of course not.

I'm still tempted by the Corvette GS, but haven't jumped ship yet.

Same here too.

But I am finding it harder and harder to stop the urge to buy something. If the M4 CS gets offered to me at MSRP and the MSRP is reasonable, I might just pull the trigger although I really do not like the size of the car.

I just hope that when the M2 CS gets released, there are absolutely no test mules remotely looking like the M2.

I'm wishing for the same...loving theses renders we've already seen lately, but I don't think it's going to happen.

I'll bet on a revised fascia and diffuser. And then maybe some other small cosmetic touches, but I severely doubt anything wider than current M2. Artemis has already pointed out that the factory is set to run with the M2 to be the widest it can handle, and also the car won't need it. The factory 10 and 9 inch wheel can take 285/265 pretty easily which is what comp pack f80's run I believe.

Just 285/265 ??

I remember "Mulder" saying on some thread that he wanted more than the 315s that he currently has on his 1M. For that to happen on the M2, I believe you might need it to be widened a bit.

That and also because it would look absolutely insane.

Agreed, I have 0 interest in a GTS. Make mine an LTW.

If they won't, I'll get a base and make it an ode to those cars myself.

Yep, various people run 285+ on the 1M for good reasons, although I believe anything bigger than 295 needs more than a 10" wheel.

Since F87 and F80 models are coming with 9"/10" wheels (except the GTS coming with 9.5"/10.5") I would expect the same. I think it has been assumed that BMW saying the regular M2 can't fit anything bigger than 245/265 tires because of "room" is um...misdirection The real reason is likely to keep it from stepping on the F80's toes in terms of lap times. So, I think we'll see 9" and 10" wheels with either 255/275 (same as base F80) or 265/285 (same as comp pack F80).

And yes, I agree, hips always look great!! But remember 1M mules showed some stuck on fender flares to hold the E90 M3 track underneath it which we haven't seen on the M2CS mules.

I wish it was going to be so, but I don't think it's going to happen.

All other things being equal (ie: street tires), 255/275 or 265/285 on the F87 chassis with 400hp should be quite well balanced out of the box. And hopefully a little wild feeling just like the 1M was.

Yep - I agree - make the M2 and/or M3 version of the 911R and call it a day.

It stands to reason that it should have the same brakes as the F80 (and base M2) with an option for CCB.
