Actually, the manual does specify one limitation on throttle application: Avoid full load until 1,200 miles.
Which doesn't mean you cannot change the throttle response as long as you are within the limitations, which would prevent full load

Is "full load" not the same as "throttle pedal to the floor"? That's what I thought it meant, but it sounds like you're suggesting "full load" means redline.

I'm saying stay within the 5500 rpm and 100mph and you good. Doesn't matter the drive mode.

Well, after a few months I've settled with this configuration

M1: Steering - Comfort / Throttle - Efficient / Traction ON
M2: Steering - Sport / Throttle - Sport + / MDM

I'm not talking about drive modes. I'm talking about flooring it at 2k rpm even in comfort mode. Manual suggests you are not supposed to do that during break in period. Way below 5500 rpm and 100 mph.

If you floor it, you will exceed break-in restrictions very quickly. Sure you can floor it and back off before you do...should be fine. Just be fast, very fast, because if you have a DCT and "floor it", you will kickdown and be thrown close to redline pretty quickly

Ah, well I don't have a DCT so I've never had to think about that. I can floor it in 2nd gear and have at least a few second before I hit 5k rpm.

Yep, just be fast either way.

I would say the most strain and most "risk" of exceeding recommendations is in first gear, manual or DCT. A 1/2 throttle punch in first to 4-5k RPMs and then longer pulls in second or third would be fine. Even after full break in, full throttle in first is just wasted tire spin or traction control intervention. Although it is fun to rev it out.

M1: Sport Throttle, Comfort Steering
M2: Sport+ Throttle, Comfort Steering, MDM Mode

I wish you could change the startup mode. I'd like it to bee Efficient/Comfort, rather than Efficient/Sport.

As for steering, I had M2 at Sport Steering, but didn't see the need. Maybe because I don't have fun roads around me, but I find the heavier steering even more artificial. I don't feel like it decreases the assistance, but rather just adds weight to the already artificial steering feel. Like the weight is added AFTER going through the assistance. So to me, so far Comfort actually feels the least artificial, if just really light. Might change that feeling after taking it to the track though.

Fully agree. I cant wait to get out of first gear and rarely go past 5k anyway...
