The N54 in the 1M is very pedestrian...feels like a Toyota V6 Camry, no motorsports feel at all...however it all changes once it's on stage 1+ intercooler, the driving experience is more ferocious than a stock M2C, even though it is still slower

In terms of reliability, the M2C wins hands down

In terms of man and machine connection, the 1M wins hands down. In comparison, the M2C feels like sex with an extra layer
Well my friend, you are so wrong, it is so simple to talk about something without having it. I have both cars, 1M 2012 BS 26.500 kms and M2C 2021 SO 4.800 kms, and feel way better driving the 1M, even though it has less power, 340 vs 405, its driving experience is pure, feel more connected, excellent handling, more aggressive. Hope you have the opportunity of having one, and confirm what I am saying. I would definitely sell my M2C rather than my 1M, only regret the color, mine is black sapphire and love Valencia Orange. Never underestimate a 1M!

I no longer collect. It's no fun and doesn't back out financially.

Buying a car to park it and not enjoy it while you trade priceless and irreplaceable time for a limited return makes no sense.

Better to let EAG or some other collector hold onto it for you while you figure out how to make more money at whatever your day job is so you can buy it back at whatever the premium is and put on miles worry-free.

I will never again let miles and depreciation determine whether or not I'm going for a drive. Keep the car cleaned and maintained and protected, and drive.

I've owned a 1M for 8 years, and now own a M2C. And imo this decision of which is better is totally subjective and changes from person to person, and even in which situation the person is in. When I was younger the 1M made all the sense to me, it was manual, uncomfortable, very brutal, and had none of the gadgets (mine was as basic as possible), and I loved it for all that, I was a racing drive at the time and the 1M felt perfect as a daily sports coupe with 4 seats and boot butt small overall size. As times passed, and other cars came across I started appreciating some comforts, and auto gearboxes and start losing some interest in driving the 1M, and that's why I replaced it. The M2C feels very similar to it (driving, exterior and interior), but gives me the modern technology and comfort the 1M was missing. The 1M remains my favourite car I owned, but it didn't make much sense to my anymore as I didn't feel like driving it anymore. At this time the M2C for me is the better car. I like both and the 1M will always have a special place in my heart, what a wild ride and what an animal it was!
