Creak sounds when cornering hard ?

Went for a drive the other day. When under spirited cornering there is a light metallic 'rit-chit-chit' sound from whatever wheel is loaded up at the front.

The car is handling normally.
Is it the brake shield making the noise or should I get it looked at?

It's an 'airy' metallic sound. Kind of like metal expanding sound but repeatedly.

Certainly not harsh or loud.

I get this too and have gotten it forever, I don't think it's a concern. I have the BMW "floating" center caps, and I don't remember noticing this until after I put them in, so I kind of wonder if it's coming from those...

I got floating caps too.

Maybe I'll take them out for a bit and see cheers.

Going in to garage to have horns repaired and have asked them to eyeball the coilovers to check they're ok.

Haven't had this myself, but I recall someone else that said it was from the metal retainer that the brake line grommets snap into.
I believe they wrapped some tape around it to attenuate the sound.

Don't even bother chasing it down, you'll never fully rid the car of it. It's not going to cause you an issue, so just leave it.

Yup. I’ve heard non BMWs (a fast model 3, veloster N, and other cars) make an identical noise when loaded working at autocross. Completely normal

GAH it's really loud now.
It's doing it at low speed cornering too just like before.

The right side seems noisier but left is doing it too.

Even the cops looked at me funny earlier lol. I could tell it was from the clicking.

Dare I go to my local BMW when I have aftermarket coilovers...

I had a similar creak/rub/rumbling feedback when wheel is slightly turned at parking lot speeds. Full stock suspension, 255/35/19 tires. Stock wheel. I took it the dealer and they said they tightened some bolts and it was sorta resolved but still happened but wasn’t as bad

Since then, I’ve installed ohlins + camber plates and the noise started coming back.

Only thing I can think of be the culprit is the bolt that holds the strut to the lower collar.

Sway bar endlinks could be the culprit too but head they produce more of a knocking sound vs the creaking I’m getting.

Any advice?

I have also just started getting this noise from the back left ( might be both sides left is louder ) when going over bumps at low speed it's sounds like an old creaking mattress spring.

I'm on kw v3 coilovers with white line adjustable drop links and millway camber plates up front.

The car doesn't handle any differently I thought it was the bushes at the bottom of the shock creaking because the cold weather.

I tried to replicate it by pushing the back end down but it won't do it
