Ended up ordering a new M3 for ED. Farewell!

It was fun obsessing and waiting for news of allocations with all of you. I wish you all the best of luck in getting your sweet M2's soon!

I decided I couldn't wait any longer and ordered a brand new M3 for european delivery later this year. Four doors, price and availability finally drew me in. Plus I think the carbon fiber roof, seats and fender flares are pretty sexy.

First BMW and M car for me! Maybe It'll be easier to pick up a M2 in a few years..

Congrats!

What dates are you doing ED? I got my M2 production number today for a September build and I selected beginning of October for my ED!

Congrats on ED! My dealer said no ED for the m2 which started swaying me. I should be picking up second week of Sept.

Thanks, I ended up ordering from Chico bmw. There were other lower quotes but they a lot of them flaked for whatever reason.

Btw I am number #12 in line at Stevens creek if anyone wants my place in line.

Just kept it simple with MW, 6MT and exec. Was pretty hard to not check the comp pack though!

You will love ED, I had a total blast going last October for my F80. Make sure you tour the factory and Museum.

Thanks! Do you recommend touring before or after the scheduled delivery? I read some people take delivery and valet their cars right away to visit the Museum, etc. If you had to do either the museum or factory tour, which would you do?

Hi Bmwhocr,

I'd be interested in taking your place at Stevens creek if it's still available.

I did it before my delivery, don't try and do everything in one day it's too much.

I did the factory tour the day before my delivery and did the museum the morning of my delivery then took delivery of the car in the afternoon and left Munich.

If I had to do one I'd probably do the factory tour although both are very cool. The museum is self paced so you can skip to just the stuff you want to see and leave but the factory tour is with a guide. You must pre-book the factory tour but not the museum.
