Ok, did some testings with the prototype, the good news is that the electrical part works fine. No coding required either.
I need to work on some fitment issues and make a second prototype to verify everything before going into production. |

You all know now that the M2 Competition will have M mirrors on the car?
I think that if Acexxon's price is right it might well be cheaper to do it aftermarket then ordering the ones from the BMW warehouse. MR |

The OEM mirrors will set you back $2-3000, so i'm positive he won't have a problem selling these.

Although nothing will look as OEM or "real" as the original ones IND or Acexxon have made. I bought these mirror caps for 99 bucks and had them paint matched to alpine white. They look miles better than other variants of m style clip ons.
I added pictures of a LBB M style mirror caps also. |

Meh, I'm waiting to see what Acexxon comes up with. Worst case scenario i'll leave them stock. Not gonna settle for some cheap caps.

The photos deleted now so not really anyway to compare side by side. Either way you won't be able to buy a set of them for a while. The car has to be on sale and then the spare parts have to be produced and made available for sale. That and the fact that the cost will be really high isn't really swaying me from looking to buy these instead. |

Any update on this? Or are we all waiting for M2 Comp parts to retrofit?

Hang on though because that could be incredibly costly. We also don't know if it will be plug n play.

"We have the prototype (one side), but learned from the spy pics that the M2 CS might come with the M3/M4 mirrors.... so we are waiting for the official launch of the M2 CS in April to determine if we should continue with the project. It's a huge investment and there's no point if BMW can offer them (although pricy) in the future as direct replacement."
