Bay Area M2's

Hey guys, I just got my 2017 M2 delivered last weekend. I am curious if there are any small M2 meetups in the bay area. Looking to hear/see some exhaust options around south bay?

Maybe we should do a monthly gathering or something.

We had one earlier this year, but I haven't heard of any since then. I'm in if we do another one!

did you pick up the vehicle from stevens creek? got mine from there last june and just went in for the 1200 mile service 2 days go. made a specific request not to wash the car, even left a sign on the dash stating "DO NOT WASH" yet those bloody buggers still did.

I avoid Stevens Creek BMW at all costs. I bought mine from a friend who owns a dealership.

Hi All,
I'm seriously considering joining the group of M2 owners in the Bay Area, but am looking for a dealer that people recommend working with. My previous BMWs I've purchased from Stevens Creek and Mountain View. Not impressed with either. MV is currently going through construction/remodeling, and they seem to be pressing for high-volume sales, so I don't expect very good service for ordering a car through them. SC just felt sleezy the last time I wondered into their show room...

Thanks. (Feel free to PM me.)

I'm in Emeryville. If someone wants to organize a drive, I'd try to make it.

I live in Oakland and decided on using Concord BMW. Recommended by a neighbor who got an M4 from them. Zero pressure and Michael got me in the queue for an allocation immediately. At the time they only had a 240i to test drive. My M2 is coming around Thanksgiving.

Thanks! I asked around local dealers and was able to get an immediate spot from BMW SF. Delivery should be around X-mas. Perfect timing?

Btw, I was told they have a LBB M2 that’s ready for sale.

I have also heard good comments about BMW SF. A co-worker's family has bought a few cars from them.

I have not been able to communicate with their service department. My call kept getting dropped on hold, left messages and they never called me back. Has anyone dealt with their service department?

What's up guys! Apparently there are FIVE M2's in my office area of Pleasanton, any of you on here?

My brother just ordered a 2018 blue M2 so he will be joining you guys soon

Just wanted to say hello - he is anxious to hear some different exhaust setups. I got to hear the M-performance on a friend's car the other day. Awesome sound!

I've talked with BMW SF service before, but most of my correspondence was via e-mail after talking to them in person, as the guy said that he's way more responsive via e-mail than by telephone. Sounds like he wasn't lying...

Buy out of state. I bought mine from detroit and had it shipped. Cost a much more reasonable price including the shipping.

If you don't mind a wait, I'm sure you'll find open allocations in SoCal to order one at MSRP.

They're still doing that around the Bay? I tried also around July/Aug in the bay area and same thing. Ended up flying down to SoCal to pick mine up but I had a great CA and the dealership was awesome with made the entire process a smooth one. I would try out there if you don't mind going down south. Plus you get to enjoy the drive home if you decide to buy down there and not ship it. GL!
