ISO: M2 Comp Seats W/ Blue Stitching
I am looking to pick up a set of M2 Comp seats with the blue stitching. Ideally I am looking for seats that are in mint Condition. Currently I am located in Santa Barbara, CA, but I am willing to travel within California for the right pair of seats. Also open to seats outside of CA if the shipping quote is reasonable. |

I'm in the same boat - they are really hard to find! Especially if you don't want one from a totaled car. One option I had considered, if you really want mint condition seat covers, is to buy some cheaper and more available M4 seats and then buy new M2 Comp seat covers. My understanding is that they are the same structure and just have different upholstery (and the "M" badge on the backrest). Not cheap, but just throwing it out there. I'm guessing it might be doable for $3.5k?

I have a very nice pair of fronts in Tampa, but not likely worthwhile to ship across the country. Can't find a worthy OG M2 to use then in 😔

is there really a demand for the comp seats? I swapped both mine out for bride seats and the stock seats are just sitting in storage. Don’t plan on selling them but I didn’t think I could try to break even with the seats I bought. What is the price these are going for?

I lucked out but if you guys use LTL Freight to ship, it will be $300 or so. A forum member from Ohio was gracious enough to work with getting his clean seat over to Cali

Out of curiosity, what LTL carrier did you use? Also did you have the seats bolted down to a pallet or did you have them boxed/wrapped separately?

I used xpo logistics but it use freightquote.com to find the best deals. My seller strapped it down worm clamps rather than bolt it down. But i am sure zip ties would have done the same |

Maybe the cheapest option even if the airbag was blown; as long as the foam and upholstery is fine. Since the bottom seat frame/rails are the same across all standard or m2c seats, you can simply just swap the bottom upholstery/foam and the entire backrest upholstery/foam/frame to your standard ones For those of us that came from e36s, it was common for us to do that when trying to get the infamous vader seats Last edited by bmwstephen; 01-22-2024 at 01:26 PM.. |

I sold my M2C seats (regretfully) for a temporary bucket seat setup then went back to M4 seats - they have better leather relative to that of the M2C and are 90% plug and play other than coding. If you are interested I'm in the SF Bay Area
