I wanted a spoiler with an interesting shape (i.e. notch in the top and bottom) so choices were limited. This was $300 so I took a chance on it.
The overall quality of the weave/finish is pretty good. Fitment is "ok" - you can't really see it but the center area curves up a couple of mm higher than the ends so the 3M tape is not making contact with the trunk in the center area. The spoiler is on solid however and doesn't move when pushing against it. When installing, I'd recommend paying careful attention to how well the contour of the spoiler matches the contour of the trunk where you apply the 3M tape. If I were to do mine over again I would have put a 2nd layer of tape in the center area. |

^^^ I'm curious about the quality and mounting of the RW front spoiler as well. I ordered some parts from them last week including the same front lip but it's not available for 2-3 weeks. I also got side skirts and a rear diffuser but haven't had a chance to open the boxes yet.
BTW, nice looking car, OP. |

RW Carbon front spoiler - quality/installation
In terms of quality/installation of the front spoiler:
Quality -I was anxious to get the thing installed, so I have not really gone over it with a microscope but quick impressions are the finish is good / no glaring defects -The M Performance part is undoubtedly better quality, but the RW Carbon gives the same look for lower price (I was less concerned about general quality since the spoiler is so low you are rarely going to be looking at it close up like you would be with something like mirror caps and likely its going to get scraped anyways during the course of daily driving) -Given the complex shape of the bumper, my main concern was how well the spoiler would match the contours of the bumper but it was a pretty good fit when I was installing it Installation -Instructions - there are none, you're on your own to figure it out -it comes with screws only (no tape or adhesive) -on their FB page, a woman put in a review saying her front spoiler fell off on the highway (google front spoiler falling off on highway and you will find a bunch of people with this happening across various spoiler brands/cars so its more down to installation vs anything specific to their part) -when I was installing the side winglets I found the installation instructions for the BMW part (https://rparts-sites.s3.amazonaws.co...Components.pdf) and they use rivets / and a strong adhesive (betalink) instead of screws/tape -the front spoiler has 10 screw holes, 6 of them align to factory screws already in place, 4 you drill yourself -I don't know what the 6 factory screws go into (it seemed pretty solid) but keep in mind its plastic so DO NOT OVER TORQUE -the 4 screws you drill yourself go into very soft plastic (softer than the 6 factory screws) so again do not over torque and ensure you drill a very small pilot hole -if you are using a threadlocker, do not use something like loctite as it does not work on plastic, use something like this: https://www.vibra-tite.com/threadloc...-3-threadmate/ -given how flush the spoiler mounts to the front bumper, I don't think adhesive tape would work well as it would cause a gap between the spoiler and bumper, I put some silicone caulking on the back part of the spoiler to give some extra adhesion in addition to the screws -I'm going to see how this holds up, I think I will probably end up replacing the 4 drilled screws with rivets like in the BMW instructions just to be on the safe side |

Many thanks for the detailed information Craig8! What you mentioned is about what I expected, given the price point. And that's funny about instructions--I specifically asked them that question and they said instructions are included.
I also read that review about the lady who lost her spoiler on the highway and they claimed it was poor installation so that concerned me. I almost ordered some 3M tape but I'm glad I didn't since you say there would be a gap. I bet some Amazing Goop would work well for this application. I used that stuff to install screens to protect the radiator and intercooler on a different car and it's solid after almost 2 years and the car has seen a few track days. |

RW carbon rear diffuser
RW Carbon rear diffuser installed.
I originally thought I would be content with just the carbon fiber side winglets. Once those were on, I felt the car would look more balanced with the carbon fiber front spoiler with the side wings. Then off course the OEM plastic rear diffuser looked out of place so on with the carbon fiber rear diffuser. Now I'm thinking about a carbon front grill - serious case of the mod bug. |

Where are you getting parts from? I'm in the area and my Hockenheim bundle of joy will be home in a few months. My wishlist is almost the same as your installed list. |

I had a chance to install the front lip, side skirts, and rear diffuser from RW. Here's what I found...
Front Lip: I give the overall quality an OK+ rating. The fit was great although I think it should have more mounting points in the middle to be sure it doesn't come loose during high speeds or track days. I added a bead of Amazing Goop along the bottom where it mounts. The weave looked good but the clear coat had noticeable blemishes on the side wing areas. One side looked like it had a run and it was poorly sanded down and resprayed. Both sides simply were not a perfect finish. I'd still recommend it for the price and the fact that it goes on the bottom of the car. It'll take rock chips and you really won't see these blemishes that low to the ground. Rear Diffuser: OK rating. The fit isn't perfect with the side bottom areas not lining up perfectly with the bumper body work. You really have to look closely to notice. The clear coat finish was slightly better than the front lip but not perfect. Like the front lip this is not a big issue, as it's near the ground. The fitment might be a deal breaker for some but I decided to live with it given the price and the fact that I'd get hit with 15% restocking fee and shipping cost to return it. Side Skirts: Good+. The carbon weave and the clear coat are perfect--I didn't see any blemishes. The fit was about 98%. I feel like it could have fit just slightly tighter to the bottom of the car but that's my OCD talking. My only complaint was having to drill so many holes (9/side IIRC) but they're small and can be easily plugged if I decide to remove them later. Now with all the other carbon bits on the car I feel the car *needs* a carbon trunk spoiler. I was kicking around the idea of getting the RW Carbon one but in the end decided for the price it wasn't worth the gamble of getting something with clear coat blemishes on a part that will be very noticeable. I might have to cough up the cash for an actual M Performance part or give Monaco Motorsports a try. As for ordering from RW Carbon, I shared here how there was a mistake in my favor with my order. In the end, it wasn't a big deal but involved a trip to FedEx on my time. |

I'm not sure I'd recommend the Monaco motorsports one if you are really concerned about the fit/finish.
Mine has a small 1cm x 1cm part in the center where the gloss is a bit hazed. I'm hoping it can be buffed out with a detailing polisher. For me, I really wanted the shape with the notch on the top and bottom so my options were limited. Otherwise I would have gone for a higher end one like the M performance or Vorsteiner. Quote:

Sliplo skid guards
I have a stock ride height but have still managed to scrape the front spoiler a few times:
So on with skid guards. I went with ones from Sliplo as the material was more of a smooth plastic. I read some posts on people that used the ones from Acexxon and they felt they were more of a rubber material so ended up gripping the ground when scraping and getting pulled off. After installing using some 3M adhesion promoter, they seem to be stuck on very solid. I mis-aligned one when I was installing and could not peel it off with my fingers, I had to pry it off with a screwdriver. |

Gorgeous spec! Love the stealth black look. Having a hard time determining on whether to go all black, or to get LBB

That's a beautiful M2. That's a hell of a garage! R8 RS3 and the M2! I probably would have went with B7 RS4 For a bit more space but I really like your garage selection!
