LED taillights

My left taillight has the intermittent taillight failure.

I am wondering if BMW has extended the warranty on the taillight or it is now my problem.

I’ve seen references here and there to an extended warranty for the issue:

However I haven’t seen any actual official documentation of the extended warranty. Apparently it’s just “something dealers know about internally”?
