Actually with several threads in the M2 competition forum about people giving up allocations ... I'm not so sure.

Well once the reviews hit things might change. Hard to say. Not sure the reviewers are even going to have an M2 to compare to when they test the M2C to do a proper review. If all the reviews say it's the best new thing then people are going to take their allocations. If they say the M2C feels about the same as the M2 but you can feel the weight, then they will give up their allocations.

I dont know what to do... I really love the mp exhaust, but for 12.000€ more I have the new model that should be better...
If you track, get the M2C. If you do not, the $12K does not get you much in terms of driving experience.... get the M2.

My 2 cents.

Fixed that for you. Im sure that hellrotm will disagree , but I saw a fellow post yesterday wanting to dump his perfectly good M2 for 45k and ante up another 13-14k US for an M2COMP.. and while a new updated warranty is nice ... that much scratch will buy a helluva lot of mods for an M2. Mods that you will find harder and harder to find extra money for if you are in the USA and will be selling off all your 18" wheels in favor of a set of 19" track wheels and a 19" track tires with considerably higher consumable costs down the road for tires.

Why not just throw the M performance catalog at your M2?

Wasn't it proved that the M2c has no suspension changes from the M2?

Well I am confused too. I had an early 2016 Black M2. I sold it after one year and only 5000 miles. It was black and beautiful and I called her “Lucille” if you watch The Walking Dead. I always have had my “fun car” in the garage for when I want to tear tires off it. I am a be professional but extremely cool youthful 46 year old woman (lol). I want to be humble but I can afford a competition model however I also like my money. I like to invest in stocks, options, and in my retirement account so I am trying to make a good decision.

I really love the aggressive changes of the 2019 competition model but now as opposed to when I bought my original one, there are more available, which I think here shortly will be deeply discounted at year end in the US.
I love the way it looks in black but maintaining a black car is difficult to keep it absolutely spectacular. So I currently am waiting a few more months to see how big the discounts go on the current 2018 models that are available that rare still new, otherwise I will order a 2019 if I cannot find an incredible deal on a DCT that is not black as a 2018.
I love the cars but warranty matters on these.

The M Performance exhaust (which is no longer available) would swing me towards the original M2. Without the exhaust I'd probably go with the M2C.

I agree! N55 with M performance exhaust sounds heavenly, but the potential power of the S55 engine is also something to consider.
I find the original M2 to be powerful enough(for the time being). I'm eagerly anticipating the S58 engine!
