M2's

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Just like to share with you guys

Gonna throw in a set of Recaro seats this weekend, then I am done with my build

I use my M2 for open back roads and trackdays (where the M2 belongs)

Many thanks to guys at iND, ProTuning Freaks, and our local shops.

Build list is long...

Full 3D Design Carbon Aerodynamic Kit
Akrapovic Carbon Mirror Covers
Acexxon Rear Reflector Kit (Slat Style)
MPerformance Interior Kit
MPerformance Steering Wheel & Cover
Awron Gauge
BBS FIR Wheels
Eventuri Intake
Acexxon Triple Link Engine Corner Strut Braces
HPP Engine Tower Braces
Dinan Sway bar kit (front & rear)
Fall Line Motorsport Rear link
KW Clubsport Suspension
KW Rear Link Arm
Akrapovic Full Exhaust System
Akrapovic catless downpipe
BM3 Stage 2 OCT 93 Tune (387 whp, dyno'd using dynojet)
Wagner Tuning EVO2 Competition Intercooler
BMW M Motorsport Roll Cage
Schroth Profi II-6H Harness
Recaro RSG Alcantara Bucket Seats
Brembo GT Big Brake Kit w/ Type III Rotors
RE10 Race Technologies Brake Pads
iND Gloss Black Rear M2 Emblem
iND Gloss Black Side Marker
MPerformance Gloss Black Grille
Wrapped in 3M 1080 Bright Yellow

I like how the car runs, it's not that comfortable on the street, but it's awesome going through turns and on the racetrack. Car is very stable and the upgraded suspension allows the M2 to stay firm under higher G force.

For acceleration, the car is able to keep up with the regular Porsche 991's even the GT3 up to around 75~80mph before they start pulling away...

I have been running the BM3 map for over 6 months now, and it's pretty stable, not having any issues with the car.

Can you not setup the suspension to be more compliant on the road?

I'm thinking of doing coilovers I my car, most likely the b16 pss10's. Apparently they can be set up to ride nicer than standard lowered 20mm all round I've been told.

Even with the KW's suggested street setting for the clubsport, I still find it uncomfortable for the normal daily driving. However, the KW Clubsport isn't tailored for the road anyway, it's more of track oriented suspension. I am not saying it's bad, it's awesome for the track, but you'll feel like riding a horse daily driving with it.

KW V3 or equivalent would be more suitable for daily driving and occasional track days.
