Rubbish design but a small screw/bolt put through underneath each end would stop the tubes vibrating off each other.
It's not the tips. It happens at the center of the vehicle, where the MPE meets the original exhaust. They sag at the junction, hitting the crossmember underneath during the cold start routine.

Got it, thanks. Here is the location of the vibration on my car (with titanium tips). The flattened section of the exhaust pipe vibrating against the crossmember beneath it.

Have you tried removing the tips entirely for a couple of days to see if the noise still happens? It may look funny for a couple of days but you may be able to narrow down if it is the tips causing the noise.
Sorry that I've been away from the forum for a bit. No, I haven't tried that yet.

I've looked and it's not touching, but I guess it's possible during the start-up cycle.

In 2015, he and I went to Munich to go to the Welt and drive the autobahn in a new M5. To this day, that is the most memorable trip and I'll remember it always.

We were texting early this morning and, out of the blue, he sent me a copy of a PayPal invoice showing that he had purchased the M Performance exhaust for my 2018 M2.

It was a completely unexpected thing for him to do and, to be honest, makes me a little uncomfortable because it's a lot of money. He knows that I've been thinking about getting it for some time now.

I'm very fortunate to have such a great brother. Love you, bro!

nice man hope you like the exhaust

Sorry for the lack of updates, but there was nothing to report until now. BMW support in Germany says that I have the latest revision of the exhaust, but my local dealer is replacing the entire exhaust under warranty on 9/6. I'll report back on whether this solves the vibration issue or not.

Well, the new exhaust got installed yesterday and so far, cross your fingers, there's been no cold start vibration. Time will tell, but right now I'm happy that this annoyance has been resolved.

Happy Days! Great result. I hear BMW have a she’s load of problems with the early exhausts.
