Didn't bother watching the ad since comments here are sufficiently enough

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

Same car, same day. The fact they make a point of doing all the standing shots with the new wheels, yet all the driving with the 437s is odd.

The earlier prototypes had 437M only. Maybe the 788 car was for other purposes and they didn't want to risk damaging it. I saw one of these cars in the US where 437M will never be offered.

I would rather by "Karate Kid" the movie, stay home, and eat Panda Express take-out.

Absolutely Stupid advertisement!

Now, rather than visiting a BMW showroom, which does not even have the M2C in stock, I would rather by "Karate Kid" the movie, stay home, and eat Panda Express take-out.

This must be Japaneses Cultural Appropriation at it's finest. Does the Japaneses market still get suckered by lame-ass Samuari sword tricks? Can the "20-somethings" afford a 60+k dollar sword? Just who are they appealing to? a future 20k, used, high millage, beat-up, used M2 car market, for a 20 year old zit head?

Really? From BMW, The Worlds Ultimate Driving Machine? This has got to be the World's stupidest commercial. What a buzz kill, Blah... Grow up BMW!

Recommend that they fire their promotional advertising firm.

I'm going to say something truly heretical here, but what if these promos are actually genius? I mean, I've been watching a ton of Top Gear and Chris Harris Drives on Youtube, and every commercial is some generic crap from Lexus (something about "to have craftsmanship you have to have real craftsmen" or some such nonsense) or scenes of people driving around on coastal roads in Lincolns (and the dude has a receding hairline... meanwhile, the chick in the car next to him is hot; ergo, if you drive a Lincoln you can be old but still get a really hot, young gal). And they're completely forgettable and they're completely interchangeable ads.

Now, THIS BMW ad, you will not forget. It may be the stupidest ad you've ever seen. But, you will not forget it.

Note to self: Hire this ad agency.

You mean unforgettable like Nancy Pelosi saying, in a winy voice - "We need to pass heath care reform to see what's in the bill." lol

Not sure I want an M2C now? But I will take the M2C pill anyway, because the add can't kill me, even though the car can.

They should go around to tracks and set lap records like Porsche. Problem is, they wouldn't be able to set any .

You think with the marketing money they wasted they could get better brakes on the M3. 100 more HP, faster DCT, better seats w bigger shoulder support. 325 rear tires and 295 fronts. an option from factory titanium akra exhaust. carbon option w hood, fenders boot, roof and tub in carbon. carbon shaft. carbon brakes. Adjustable aero. Seriously this is better than a car drifting w a sword.

Yeah, BMW isn't interested in actually making hardcore cars. They just want to look like they are, while not compromising daily drivability. Maybe with CS/GTS models they are becoming a bit more interested but the effort is unconvincing based on the numbers so far.

I know people believe the carbon strut brace is cool... I like the way it looks as well... but this is the kind of part they spend money on for looks, while releasing the original F8x cars with bouncy damping and scary rear traction. I'd give up carbon roof and strut brace to stop the traction control from lighting up every time you touch the throttle.
