Unfortunately no. I had a choice of six GT3s already starting production. None of them had buckets or ceramic brakes.

Nice! I didn't even know they were still making them. I have a 2014, I bought used because I thought they stopped production to make the RS. Too bad you couldn't spec it out, but it looks beautiful!

From AP at Rennsport V:

“I can only tell you how I personally do it, or how we do it at Weissach – for the first 500 kilometres or 300 miles, we don’t drive that car ever over 5000 rpm, never. From then on, every 200 kilometres, we up the rpms by 500, so we end up at 1300, 1400 kilometres at the threshold before we can really go full throttle, at 800 or 900 miles”

Not to turn this into another tired break-in discussion on a forum, but this is complete nonsense. Most of us have at least 5 other cars and are busy people. Shit, my DD F32 has 15,900 miles and I've had it for over 2 years. Is it realistic for Porsche to expect someone who just bought a $150K+ sports car to keep the engine RPM <50% of redline for at least 4 months?

Besides, break-in is more load dependent, not RPM, and certainly not vehicle speed, per BMW's laughable guideline. I can guarantee that new owners who are deathly afraid of catastrophe crossing 4200 RPM are doing more damage to the engine lugging the shit out of it up a hill rather than downshifting.

I just went through the engine-replacement process with Porsche and found out how much their break-in procedure really means to them: Nil. They didn't question me about or mention the process whatsoever (I figured they can see all the data anyway). Ironically enough, although later I found out it wasn't related...the first time I don't have a chance to break in an engine the right way before it racks up a few miles, it needs to be replaced.

I'm not saying this is universal to brands but "drive it like you stole it" has always worked for myself. My SA for my long ago 335, who'd been with BMW for decades, said "dilysi" when I ran it by him too. Not redline the snot out of it but more don't worry so much.
That's just me.

So if the breakin he posted is by the manufacturer (dealer doesn't mean much), they are saying it just to screw with him? Personally if I bought a car this expensive and the company that designed and built it recommended something I would follow it. I can't see any reason for them to recommend this unless they see some value in it.

Also, them not questioning you on what you did just means they realize asking an owner if he followed the recommended procedures is pointless.

The only time I didn't follow break in procedure was on a 2006 M6 and the engine went at 5000 miles.

I would listen to P with that blue gem for sure. My post about hard break-in was out of place now that I think back. True for several of my past vehicles, but out of place.
I hope you get years of grins!

No worries. I'm sure you're probably right but if I didn't follow it and something happened I would probably regret not following the guidelines.
