Ive turned in my PS2 about 4 weeks ago as I had maxed out the turbo and setup in my F10. Had FBO with Dorch Stage 2 hpfp, running on E50 and E85 with dp meth injection. Car did 520 whp with that setup without over working the turbo. Ive since pulled the motor and put in manley forged connecting rods and forged manley pistons. Im excited to see what the 750 can really do. According to Jimmy at Pure they did 610whp on E30 with a very mild tune. In talking to my tuner we decided it was best to do the rods and pistons now as the N55 starts to become susceptible to bending rods/spinning rod bearings once you start to get north or 620ft lbs of torque. Im working with Jimmy to provide him as much data as possible to see the full potential of the new 750 with my current setup and some small changes down the road as well. I still have not received the turbo yet as Im waiting for the billet inlet they offer for max flow.
Another weak link in my car was the transmission which in my car is the 8hp45. Its probably the weaker of options that ZF provides BMW. Ive since removed that and sent it to Jacks Transmissions in CO to have it built with an upgraded E hub and full performance build capable of handling north of 700whp. With the E hub upgrade the transmission comes with a 14 month unlimited mile warranty which I thought was pretty badass. They are known for building a lot of GTR transmission as well as Supra and BMW ZF transmission and much more. With all that being said I have not seen any flow data on the turbo so Im very interested to see what its really capable of. We feel it should be easily capable of 650+ whp but how much more I hope to find out lol. Wish me luck. You can. Follow my previous build and my current one on my youtube @inhouseperformance |

I’m also still waiting for my pure750 to come, I think I have all the supporting mods to max out the turbo. Hopefully ZM2 is wrong about it ,
( guessing the WHP of it)otherwise it’s going for sale soon lol.. |

Altho, there’s an F30 guy that thinks a custom tune is needed to max out the Pure 500. BM3 OTS Stg 2+ Multimap with E50-60 in the tank will max that turbo out, no custom (esp from Cary) needed. Just wait for the dyno sheets to start floating around… |

Pure offers a new custom billet inlet that I believe includes machining the turbo inlet open even more and with their silicon hosing should decrease WGDC by 5%. This will be paired with my custom In House performance front mount intake system. It will be 3” intake tubing so hopefully that will be enough to support this turbos inlet flow issues.

If you dont have forged rods and plan on pushing the car past 650whp you are asking for trouble. But send it and lets find out 😂.

Actually I was talking to someone that’s also bought pure750. He had ps2 with custom tune and ran 100-200 in 7.00 FBO and LPFP I had ps2 and ran 100-200 7.06 in OTS E30 map Flex fuel kit without LPFP. Saying that, I was sure that my car was doing a lot better than 7.06. So yes I don’t believe a custom tune is needed. Last edited by Mr_M//; 03-16-2023 at 12:54 PM.. |

Yes I do have S63EU5 injectors and yes I do have LK and stage 4 LPFP. I do believe M2 N55 is good for 700whp and if I’m wrong then ohh well, I will be sad but life goes on . |

Steve@wedge, and David shoup are pretty good too. They are great at finding innovative ways of tuning the n55 and pushing the forefront of tuning (and you need to do these things to learn and understand how to tune the car better - you don't get good at tuning by standing still). For example I saw that these guys were the first to pioneer the S55 "blow off valve" (the s55 doesn't have a blow off valve, what it does it open the throttle body and dump boost out the exhaust, and it has to cut fuel injection when it does this) strategy of tuning on the n55. So these guys are really familiar with n55 tuning, and likely the best in the business since they do so much exploration.

Personally I would run ecutek if I was this extensively modified. I personally believe there is no other tuning software that comes close to ecutek. From how clean the software is, to the table editor (BM3 does have a pretty good one), to the table access, how well their algorithms and logic code are written, and support ecutek gives. Literally ecutek has an army of some of the most brilliant minds in ecu tuning at their disposal to make these software packages.
