Oh, and you need new seats so I can buy those from you. Let me know when you're ready.

I originally told myself I wasn't going to mess with the suspension, this time around. However, I'm now lightly toying with the idea of installing the MP HAS kit, simply to achieve a minimal 5mm drop all around.

The seats are staying though. The side bolsters are a notable improvement over my old Comp seats.

Let's find you a set.

I think the stock suspension is fine, I'm just hung up on aesthetics. I do wish that BMW would have put the car to their own recommended ride height of 595/600, it would have been one more great thing about the CS that didn't have to be messed with.

I have a set of aftermarket seats in mind already, but I'm a bit of an OEM snob, you know. haha

Just installed the madtrace magnetic paddle shifters. They're so nice should've done this sooner. The feedback is very welcoming from every shift

Someone just picked it up looks like. Saw it on my way home in the morning. Much better in person but still not my cup of tea

Went back for better pics since it's still sitting here. It continues to grow on me slowly. The CS/CSL front is tolerable in person but still garbage in pics. Nothing as timeless and classic as our CS though

I had a little trip to Spa on Thursday…the CS was really flying. Felt good pulling away from the new model on the straight as well, I guess these older ones have a few hidden horses. I should get some proper pictures when the photos from the event come through. Top tip, take an 8mm socket to make removing the brake duct covers MUCH easier 😂

Nice. Some people dynoed their cars at 480 to 490 vs the stated 444. A significant under estimate. AND. You are roughly 300lbs lighter. Some of the new cars added HP is only going to neutralize the added weight.

Mine has an akrapovic exhaust and eventuri intakes, plus I have the ‘drivers choice’ manual seats and CCB so i’d say my car is definitely a little lighter than the reported weight and maybe those mods add a bit of power beyond the nice sounds . One thing I learned about driving in 32c track conditions with CCB that basically the only way to cool the brakes and tyres was keep on driving albeit ease off for a couple of laps to get enough air into the wheels. Parking up they just kept heating up.

Yep, sometimes I'll just run a couple slow laps mid session to cool things down. Run hard for 5-6 laps, slow down for a couple to let everything cool off. Nothing wrong with that. I find that I'm usually hitting my quickest lap with 5-6, then I slow a little and become more consistent.

Get some brake ducts. It'll help cool the CCB's a bit more than relying on the cutouts from the interior wheel liner.

Nothing more amusing than seeing the unaware come into the pitlane after a hardcore round, park the car, turn the ignition off and go for a tweedle only to come back and find they can't drive the car due to brakes being seized up

It's one of those MasterCard moments

Saw one the other evening at a local car meet. Impressive in the flesh, vastly better interior, but not my thing either. He was getting quite a bit of attention until I pulled up in the Exige.

It also looks better without all that extra red stripes
