Air Distribution question

When controlling the air manually, I noticed the passenger side air distribution button (#10) only cycles between the mid & lower directions while the driver side cycles through all 3. Is this normal?

I been asking the same question .. no idea

Yes, it's normal. I believe it's something to do with the windshield potentially fogging up or using that vent for defrost. The driver retains control of that function for safety I think. It's in an older thread here somewhere.

Thanks for at least confirming it's operating as intended. It is just odd that the diagram does not match the function.
