Hi all,
I'm posting this letter on behalf of someone from a FB M2 group and doesn't have a Bimmerpost account. This definitely explains why there's no dyno sheets for this tune one of the main points of the tune is to have a matching warranty |

My head just exploded reading this.
My read is: "If you dyno to confirm our gains, you void your warranty." Circular logic, much? So here's a question: In Colorado, you have to get emissions tested every couple of years-- which is done on a DYNO-- with a big fan in front. Does that void my warranty? Noelle keeps getting shadier and shadier. Maybe that's not their intention but, "Law of Unintended Consequences" and all that. I'll be looking for a tune after I get Delivery and through the 1200. Noelle has been scratched off the list so hard I've left marks on the table beneath my laptop! R. Last edited by flybigjet; 02-03-2020 at 03:44 PM.. |

Dyno insurance? Is that sold at the same place as headlight fluid?

Imagine the shop owners face as you describe how you need dyno insurance to keep your warranty. 10/10 chance they will think the car is broken and you're just waiting for it to blow on the dyno, hence the insurance. Never gonna work.

I called this stuff months ago when they first started popping up here. Their selling point is you get a warranty, but their terms of service lists a million things that void the warranty.

Wow, warranty void if ran on the dyno...madness.
I agree on proper airflow required and many dyno facilities aren't adequate however if the ecu protections are still as factory then the air temp correction will reduce power as it should. What a crock. Time to race one of these.
