Amazing feedback! Thanks.
Enjoy driving your kid! I have really loved sharing this sport with my teen driver, and we had a blast last weekend! Enjoy your high reviving birthday!

What a great question. The short answer is no, it's different. Appears to be about 2x bigger and more flared at the top. BUT my street car is a 3 pedal car and not sure how that plays into the equation. Maybe someone with a DCT can share their photo. Keep the questions coming. We are all learning here. Also of note in the race car pic. When sitting in the car my eye line is right about where the top picture is. In the paddock you think there is not way I can see anything. On the track it just works. Also forces you to keep your eyes up.

It's similar to a 2020 GT4 street car if that helps you at all. Both with similar drivers of course.

DCT is same as manual. This would be a lovely upgrade for the road going CS as the pedal is not great for left foot braking at all. I wonder if one can order one of these? Also that dead pedal is much better. Hmmm. |

Ah ok good to know. I wonder if they took these off the 235ir and 240 ir or if unique to CSR.

Also. A left foot braking friend just sent this pic of his M235. That's already way better. How weird we didn't get this. |

Do you need to follow break in procedure in a M2 CSR?

Break in on the race car is different.
Engine break in: On chassis dyno following BMW Motorsports protocol Diff and brake break in is done at the track during first testing. Takes about 15 min for this procedure. Good to go!!

That is good. I was hoping it was different. I like woke up in the middle of the night once and was like, I wonder if that dude from Bimmerpost had to drive his race car slow around the racetrack for 1200 miles before he could give it hell?

One important thing to note. Unlike our street M2 CS, the Motorsport cars don't come with a warranty. They also have recommended engine / trans / diff replacement periods based on Kilometers not hours like Porsche.

Just got back Pitt Race (Pittsburgh International Raceway) for the first time ever. 2nd outing in the M2 CSR. I'll write a report later but for now a few pics.
Thanks to Auto Interests Club for hosting an amazing event. And allowing passengers. My son got his first taste of the race track for hot laps. My daughter for parade laps. Pitt Race is an amazing facility I'll be back many times. Also it's just off the turnpike so super convenient.
