No that's incorrect, the SIB specifies all n54's,n55's and s55's must have the oil system primed if you interrupt it's flow. i.e. changing the oil cooler, changing the seals etc. Because the oil system really didn't change too much on the n55's throughout the years, we just have a second oil pump + better baffles and a better sump.

I'm not sure what you mean, but the any oring or gasket on the oil filter housing requires oil priming if you remove it, because you have to remove the oil filter housing or thermostat to get to it and that introduces alot of air into the loop. The only exception is the oil filter caps oring.
