Maybe this is why a PDC of Dec3 was quoted to a number of folks. There has been a plan by bmw to deliver a large batch of CS cars together and they already identified a ship to put them on.

So my summary of status updates as follows:

Order was placed the day after allocations were unlocked (9/12 I think?). I was assigned production week of 11/2 (week 45)

10/9: Scheduled for production
10/21: Production begins
11/2: Assembly
11/3: Quality check
11/6: Awaiting Carrier assignment

I also put in order same time as you - day after allocations were unlocked.
I don't have a record of what part of production it hit on what day... I only remember the day the latest one was.
Mine went to "Dispatched from Factory" on 10/22. Surprising to see yours started so much later than mine.

You set that up with the store you purchase @. No additional fee from bmw. / car price. You just have to get to SC and drive the car home .

What's the latest practical time to arrange PCD? Too late once your car's on the boat? May have to wait and see what this La Nina winter and the drive North looks like. Good way to get some of these break-in miles under one's belt.

Just call your SA and ask them to contact the PC and schedule your deliver there.

I've heard this increases delivery time by about a month.

Don't even need to drive it home, they'll ship it to the dealer. Yes, it would delay delivery, but at this point it's going to be winter and there certainly aren't any car shows anywhere.

Mine has been showing quality check for a week now, so called BMW and was told it is awaiting transport. I guess the website lags a bit.
