I feel like our cars try and MOSTLY succeed at being small. But only if you’re grading on a curve. Relative to modern stuff? Great job! Relative to older stuff? Ehhh still pretty fat. But whatever, at least we can actually see out of our cars. Can’t even take that for granted these days.

For perspective.
911 (993 - the nice one) 4260mm x 1735mm

Cars keep growing but the F87 is a nice size all things considered.

Yeah that's why it's weird. Dimensionally, the car are similar; parked next to each other the M2 looks big, but on its own the car seems like it would be smaller than a 911. Like some sort of optical illusion.

I have a 993 also - that one feels even smaller than its overall dimensions because the wheelbase is so tiny (smaller than a Miata).

They could have at least put me in an X5M, lol!
You're getting a mint, perfectly spec'd, unfiddled with car, which I can say with zero bias ;-)

Couple things...
  • With Bimmercode/link I have turned off the lawyer screen and ASD. I turned burbles back on before they picked it up. The ODB dongle should be in the car if they didn't keep it.
  • #8 on the dash turns the screen off
  • Back left tire is newish, I had a slow leak that couldn't be plugged.

Thanks for all the information. I was wondering what the tire service at AVN/Alameda was for as the car has such low mileage. The only reason would be a leak, or a defective tire.

The OBD dongle was removed by the dealer. That's fine as I have already did some coding through Bimmercode myself.

I had gone from an M235xi to the M2C...and it's a big upgrade. However, the M2C dont have the adaptive suspension which I miss

@MarlboroM2C if coming from a relatively stock one yes I agree it's quite the jump. Me coming from an f30 335i FBO on a e30 stage 2+ map sitting on KW's, the power felt a bit lacking at first but of course that's due to the detuned S55 from factory. Installed an e30 stage 1 tune one day into ownership (day after I had inspection done on the vehicle) and boy does the engine come alive. Never had adaptive suspension on the F30 but I'm definitely going to do KW's once more for that on the rails feeling. Enjoy the ride

Finally got around to take some photos of the ride.

Yesterday, I removed the front kidney grill and put some metal screen in the back of the grill to protect from flying debris like rocks from damaging the radiator.

After finding what appears to be some form of a plastic fork or something in my radiator I'm considering doing the same 😐

Just realized my M2C is Long Beach Blue Metallic, not Laguna Blue.

Now I have two blue cars. This and a 19' Miata RG GT

That's four current M2 owners who also own a ND Miata (including me).

Both outstanding cars that out perform in their markets.

Cheers,
