Development went on for months to ensure the fitment and quality matched/exceeded that is synonymous with the rest of the TRE product range.

Despite COVID playing its hand and a few other setbacks, we are incredibly proud to be launching this lip in July 2020.

Specifications:
  • Designed and developed in United Kingdom by the AUTOID team
  • Pre-preg Carbon Fibre (The lightest, strongest and most durable variant of carbon fibre)
  • OEM Fit and Finish, retaining existing bolts and screws. Plus Additional Support Bolts for increased security.
  • OEM+ Design, preserving the same design language used in the M Performance range of accessories.
  • Two-year warranty

Just seeing this thread for the first time. The lip looks great, possibly the best I've seen for the OG M2.

It looks like the lip has air passages just off center on the left and right. Was this intended to be used for cooling? I track a lot so have added make-shift brake cooling ducts. But it would be great to connect them to the front lip. Can you clarify?

Thanks for the amazing feedback!

These holes do direct air, but underneath the car. Thats not to say you couldn't pick up on the back of them and direct air into the brake ducts though.

How easy is the install? Does it just use factory screws and 3M? Does it require drilling additional screws?

I love my Mode carbon lip especially with the easy install. It got a little banged up and I'm looking at replacing it soon.

Thx in advance

Any chance of doing a group order of 10 or more to reduce shipping costs?

For sure. If you can gather 10 people together, we can sort this no problem 👍🏼

I worked with Jack at AutoID to get a group buy discount and major shipping discount if we can get 10 or more orders. To keep shipping costs low, they all have to be shipped to one destination, which will be Denver, CO.

If you are interested, I will post all the details and pricing in the "Rockies/Midwest" Sub-forum under Regional Forums.

It's finally!

After a month of waiting, I installed the TRE front lip.

Thank you Sam and Jack for the help of intercontinental delivery tariffs from the UK to the Republic of Korea.

During the mounting process, several bolt holes were not accurate, so some were processed and mounted. It's really cool!

And I felt it. that I needed a side winglet.

LOVE this lip. So thankful Jack and the AutoId team brought this thing into the world.

Sadly I wasn’t able to patronize Jack directly, and instead scored this lip from a forum member but I couldn’t be more please with fit and appearance.

This is a QUALITY unit, at any price point and you shouldn’t hesitate to pull the trigger if you’re on the fence. There is a group but being assembled, so hit that up and save on shipping.

Anyways, here it is on my BSM 2017

Thanks a lot!

You can fit with 3M tape but its highly recommended you drill as it will ensure its secure. The holes will be under the car and not visible.

Thanks for being a great vendor Jack!

Really appreciate the timely responses to questions and adding value to the community. Not all Carbon vendors hit that mark!

We did, but removed as the fitment wasn't to our standard and the cost of re-manufacturing the mould outweighed the demand.

I'd recommend the CS style splitter which we have in stock:
