A few months back I put an order in on the M2 with Wide World BMW - Ben Bautista is my SA there. Great guy and attentive.

I first ordered Alpine White, then changed it to Long Beach Blue, then called Ben again and changed it to Mineral....well I got the call from Ben last week and he asked if I wanted to take delivery of the LBB that someone just dropped.

I said sure why not. I'll come by and pick it up. Since our my family has grown up and a bit and no longer need a full out SUV, we decided to trade in the 2009 Audi Q7 TDI which we love so much but decided it would bring down the payments if we traded it now and exit out of it.

BMW M2 - Window Sticker

At the dealer - a bit excited so not many photos here. I would have preferred to have it still in the wrapper but oh well.

Moving the car out of the showroom.

After a super quick time with Joe the Finance guy I was off (Joe had me in and out within 5 minutes, what a relief!)

Back at the shop

At home next to the M3 (the new family hauler )

So far I love the car, it drives great and performs much better than I thought it would. Interior I still think is ehh and feels very plastic but we can take care of that.

In the next couple of days here is a list of things we will be doing.
  • New Car Prep
  • Xpel Ultimate Paint Protection Film - if we have the time it will be completely wrapped
  • Nanolex SI3D
  • Remove BBS FI-R's from M3 - clean them up - coat them and do a test fit
  • Coding by Okee at Codemycar.com
  • Goodies from Rogues Engineering
  • Definitely a drop - M performance coilovers?
  • Black Kidney Grills
  • Black Side Gills
  • Possibly the M performance rear spoiler
  • Possibly the M performance rear valence
  • Possibly the M performance carbon fiber mirrors
  • Possibly the M performance carbon fiber spoiler
  • Possibly tint

cleaning up the BBS FI-R's and putting a fresh coating on them.

Sorry the car had a ton of pollen but these show that the wheels and tires don't poke from the top.

From the sides it does show poke but I'm hoping once it's dropped it will push them back a bit.

The wheel does poke a bit more than I prefer but they fit better than I expected. Nice!

since I'm running the 255 front and 275 rear I think that's why they are poking. The wheels sit pretty flush.

update - went out to look at them again and the tires do make them poke, not sure if the wheel is completely poking with them...I will drop the car and see if the tires are too big with this set up if so I'll mount the stock tires on the FI-R's.

the proper care of Xpel will be as easy as your regular wash routine, proper two bucket method and a good detail spray. Protect with a good wax, sealant, or coat it. I'll put something up here in more detail shortly.....maybe a list of products as well.
