I really hope BMW does some different styling on the front rather than just slapping the M3/4 styling on it. The M3/4 styling is cool and I love the aggressiveness, but it's a little top busy for me

So it's a wider M235i with LSD from factory? Also the N55 engine.
1M owners gonna be happy about that

@greensto @sebaflex @ssabripo

We already reported that the M2 will be powered by a N55 engine(and not the S55) with around 370 PS.

The M2's engine code is: N55B30T0

It'll be plenty fast.

I know there's a contingent of folks who wish this thing could beat a GTR w/ FBO on air strip.... but I don't think I'm alone on that I'm most interested in the whole package (and major improvement in chassis/suspension hardware and tuning).

#1 on my dealer's list.

You mention power and styling, what about chassis? I recently drove a 2008 M3 back to back with my 335i. The engine is not what won my heart, it was the chassis, handling, feeling. IMO the regular 335i engine inside any M chassis is a golden ticket. The warrantied power boost is icing.

Oh, the wait. Killing me. Maybe BMW will hurry up R&D and get with the production early.

I haven't followed development of the M2, but N55 engine for this car sounds weak sauce. They should bring in a beefed up B58, or at the very least, a suped up N54. The M line is getting watered down.

Can we say at this point if the wheels and tires will be staggered sized, or square all around like the M235i (which regrettably has only 7.5" wide wheels)?

I'd like square, but not crazy expensive 19", and ideally 8" width for better after market options that match OEM (as you must for some kinds of competition). 18 x 8 all around would suit me just fine.

Love it too - sharp blue-grey that looks very sophisticated. It appears to be a bit darker/greyer than the color on the M3 in the photos above but they may be the same shade....

Can't wait to see how it looks on the whole car. Anyone with Photoshop skills want to give that a try?
