M2 swap .. manual for auto
Hi, I have a manual M2 2018 LCI (Black, 78kms), and while I love it, I’d rather an auto.
I’m old (47), and thought going back to a manual was my dream. But the reality of commuting and kids makes it a pain. Anyone interested in swapping an auto for manual (with some cash)? I’d ideally like a blue M2). |

Wow, it's been a 3.5 months since the post. Has it worked out? Only ~258 M2 manual models were delivered to Australia (not including M2 Competition). They are rare, sought-after.
I hear you and fully understand what you are saying. Personally I think switching to a F80 LCI M3 DCT may be a better option for you (4 doors practicality). When I 1st got my OG F87 DCT (no sunroof, fully optioned), I wasn't too happy since it is not a manual. After using it for daily work commute (~30km Sydney metropolitan traffic), I actually feel much better and thought the 7 speed M DCT is actually a better fit for this car. Don't get me wrong, I love driving manual (I'd driven manual in Sydney for ~8 years). I don't quite like the OG F87's 3 pedal positions (offset to the right way too much, ridiculous), also I don't feel the who manual setting is even close to a ND Miata (MX-5).
