S65 sounds great, but is not the most reliable and hardly 350whp/260tq. Even with a supercharger and tons of money thrown at it you hardly get to 450whp. An iconic, but not great motor. Certainly doesn't compare to the S55 in terms of potential. S58 blows them all out of the water considering it's bulletproof and 600whp with just a tune/dps.

I agree, not everything is HP. I would say 99% here don't even need 200 whp. The more power therefore better is such a simplistic way of thinking, its like the 0-60 faster therefore better.
Not to mention plenty of e9x doing great numbers at the track, with the right setup those cars are mighty fast, once up on the RPMs they maintain the speed just fine. But I guess if you just chasing the power number then sure s58 blows them all out of the water |

I never understood chasing power in the F87 because the platform is obviously bent towards being playful. I also don't think I'm alone in that assessment, judging by all the reviews saying the same thing, and that the stock power was more than adequate.
I did take the low-hanging fruit (intercooler, downpipe, tune), but the car isn't any more fun because of it IMO. |

I guess maybe I'm in the minority then. I didn't think anything could give me the thrill of motorcycle acceleration until I drove a tuned M2C 6mt. WOW! that 500+ ftlb of torque throws me back in the seat and puts a smile on my face without risking body and limb from a motorcycle. There is something to be said about the feeling of raw torque, even if you can only use it for a few seconds. I realize some people are actually afraid of that much power but I'm not one of them.
