Still liking the Hockenheim? I haven't decided between an M4cs or M2 ZCP but my two color choices are yours and BSM.
Love HS. It's a beautiful color, always sparkling and changing. No regrets at all.
I'll be taking a look in person on Wednesday, pics look good. Thanks....

Some previous cars I've owned that stand out are the Shelby GT350, Z3 M Coupe, E36 and E46 M3, F80 M3, 2 997's, M2 LCI, and Fiesta ST.

The only 2 things that annoy me are the rev hang when upshifting and how high the seat sits compared to a M3/M4. Otherwise everything else is great, and from the factory is a super capable machine.
Not missing the F80??
I know I'm not. Love the looks. Like driving dynamics of M2C more.

I was mixed on the looks for quite sometime, presently it's getting a grip on me. M4 starting to look dated & BIG.

F80 M3 is by far the most beautiful car BMW has made in like 30 years. I confuse an M4 for a normal 4 series more often than not.

That car was a disappointment, ordered a 2015 model and it's quite clear I should have waited a bit longer as the car didn't feel finished. The engine was tuned to be very spiky, effectively just offer a ton of boost down low and ignore creating a linear power curve. The adaptive suspension rode fine but didn't feel all that capable for tight canyon roads. The steering and diff tuning were early iterations that improved later in the model run. I do think it looked amazing, like a DTM racecar for the street.

I recently drove the M4 CS with carbon brakes so I know what the platform is capable of, stupendous car.

I had a 2005 Carrera S Launch Edition and 2008 Carerra, certainly fun cars and I like the 997 platform a lot. But I actually replaced the 911 S with the F80 M3. The adaptive suspension of the 997.1 S was not impressive, either it was floaty and sort of leapfrogged down the road or it was rock hard with little give for normal backroad driving. I actually preferred the somewhat soft but very controllable stock suspension of my 997.1, could drive the wheels off that thing. I love Porsche though, a GT3 is on the list when I can afford it.

Really nice, thanks. I've got two choices, this or BSM which also becomes the car, but owning black as you well know is a commitment of labor.

Yeah, I'm not up for that kinda challenge...I owned a black car once. That was enough

The design attitude of the M2C is pure “Hooligan“. I love it doesn’t look like it’s trying too hard to look fast and needlessly flamboyant. Tremendous presence.

Sometimes I see BSM cars and i'm like "fuuuu...that looks so good. Especially compared to my dirty HS car"

Then i realize that my car would still be dirty even if it were black and I no longer regret my choices.

I've noticed by owning dark and light colored auto's that the "lighter shades" look better dirty than the dark. I failed to mention the micro scratches & swirling, those are always fun.

I had a 2013 X51 C2S, 2015 GTS, 2016 C4S. Street 911s are fun and I absolutely loved mine. From a daily perspective, they're ok depending on lifestyle. The M2C is the better all around car. And aside from GT3/RS's, 911s aren't special enough to be a weekend car. They aren't nearly as balanced as the M2C on track. That being said, it's my opinion that the M2C is the better car.

No, I like plenty of light. Going without a moonroof even was a huge step for me . Maybe some CF bits once this is all over, but that's it.

I'm going back and forth on the sunroof. Sure looks good with that clean look. But I do like sunroofs in general.

Before somebody says how this is a "sports car", it has to be no sunroof, or higher cog, etc. let me remind them it is already a porker. And personally, I have no intention of tracking this car. It's purely an aesthetics and experience play for me.

First pick is really spot on! Glorious capture of HS!

What's the orange light in the headlight? Hazards on?

My headlights seem quite different.

I went back and forth on it for a few days. I had found 2 identical M2Cs locally just rolling/rolled off a truck, only difference was the roof. I love moonroofs. You'll always find me with roof open, windows down (No AC for me) and breeze flowing through the car, and I like plenty of light. I dont care what people say about sports car etc., but its my everyday car and yeah, I may never track it either. But for me it was all about the looks. I love the clean roof line and how it ties into that tiny windshield. The look is half the appeal of this car to me. I didnt want to mess up that look.

Having said that, I've been moonroof-less for almost 5 month now, and the windows down is plenty for me. The air flow in the M2 is also decent so you dont get that shuttering with the windows cracked. I've also had terrible experience with BMW moon roofs. Both previous ones had rattles and all kinds of sounds, and one likes to trap water in the housing somewhere and spit it out at me when I have the roof open and I hit the brakes.

Just saying, I dont regret my decision at all.
