M Performance Wheel Install Questions

I went into this after reading some how-to's and watching YouTube videos thinking this was going to be really straight forward. I ran into a couple things I could use some assistance on.

1. After disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery, there's a separate loose wire (pic attached). While I can make a guess at where it goes (under side of the connector), I don't really want to be guessing when I fire the car back up. Know what I mean? I haven't heard anyone else mention this before (it does have MP exhaust, if that may be involved).

2. I've been at the air bag disconnect for an hour now poking and pulling with no luck. I've tried with the recommended T20 as well as flathead and a phillips. I can feel the spring push and the air bag comes forward slightly, but it just does NOT want to come loose no matter how much I jiggle and pull from any direction. I see others make it look easy and I feel like it should be. Not sure if it makes any difference that this a European model or not.

Any ideas? This is embarrassing.

Never mind #1. A 5mm allen wrench works PERFECTLY for this. Out in a few seconds. The T20 and others must've been slipping past the spring and not fully disengaging it.

Never mind #2 either. It goes under the nut. Started her up and no issues. Good to go. I'll leave this here in case it's helpful for anyone else.

I found I was able to look into the hole where the screwdriver goes with a strategically aimed flashlight which helped me with where and what angle the screwdriver needed to go it to press the spring clip thing

Just needed a better tool for the job. 5mm allen wrench was on point.
