How is your lightweight front splitter holding up?
Are you still liking your lightweight front lip on the M2 and holding up ok? Thinking about getting one from EAS. I like the Perl Carbon one but they don't respond to emails for shipping to the USA.

I've had mine for 12K miles. looks new. Not Carbon Fiber, since I will be tracking the car at some tracks that are famous for destroying splitters

Yikes! I always cringe when I race at these types of tracks.

One thing you should know that the weave is not the same as the M Performance goodies so if you have other CF bits on the car they will likely look different. The MP stuff seems to be 2mm by 2mm, Lightweight uses much finer strands, maybe 1mm by 1mm. As far as durability - awesome. The CF version is still based on the hard plastic core, it only has a thin layer of CF on the top side. |

Hearing about this CF one is making me regret getting mine. If it's really just ABS plastic with a CF layer on top that sounds great to me lol. It holds up well though for sure.

Had the lightweight splitter on my F80 and it was great. Took tons of abuse, a great option for lowered cars.
I'm going to try to modify one of the ABS splitters for the F22, I.e. leave the center mounts and cut it down to just the flat part and see how it looks. Lowered on KW v3 and no way I'm putting on a CF splitter. |

I'd love to see pix of the Lightweight splitter in carbon, I wasn't aware it was an option. |

Mine is holding up well...
The splitter has deep scratches under all over which shows that it does protect the underside of the bumper. One hard impact cut into the splitter front but because it is black it is not really visible. If the splitter was made of carbon fibre or fibreglass, it would have shattered into various pieces by now. |

Super keen on this. It's been great. Hit a low rise recently, and scratched the leading lower edge front at center. My fault though.
Took some fine sand paper, lightly sanded till smooth, and hit it with some black satin. Let it cure, and then lightly rubbed with some steel wool -- thus as brand new. Can't see it at all. Could not wish to see having this happen with CF of any kind. It would have shown at any viewing....and there go the brag rights. "Hey dude, you know your spoiler is dented, cut or whatever?" I didn't need that. |

I noticed under my front bumper, it sort of angles up back from the shield. Does the lightweight splitter compensate for that so it's parallel to the ground in terms of fit?

At 46k miles now and have had it on since about 5k~. It’s holding up amazingly and has definitely saved my bumper from serious damage driving around awful streets in Chicago.

1. It handles abuse really well. It's the main reason I chose it over a CF piece.
2. It definitely has a slight angle up which you can see in my pics. 3. Ironically, nothing about it is light weight. The piece is rather heavy relative to a CF splitter. I believe it weighs around 6 pounds. 4. I ordered it from EAS, but did it during a sale where they offered free shipping which, if memory serves me correctly, was around $150 in the US. And it took a few weeks to arrive. |

Did you source the carbon version direct from LW?
