I still want them. I can't help myself.

What I can't yet understand is why Brembo wouldn't adopt the continuous fiber method if it's truly superior? They certainly know what they are doing.

WoW, this car is hella mean.. Its amazing what an aggressive hood can do, it completely made the M2 platform look so dominant.

I already know this car is on its way in achieving classic status, not because of its ambitious price tag but it's uniqueness, to the market..

With current affairs and it's limited factory activity, it might go down as one of rarest as of any modern BMW, simple by circumstances and not product planning, which would be ironic..

I remember, I didn't think much of the 1M because it was so appealing, I figured BMW would milk it, for all it's worth and segue another one, into 2012 model year. By then, I would of jumped on but beyond but lo and behold, BMW cease production, shy of a year in..

The M2 CS was planned to be manufactured hype, instead of the word of mouth cult following, the 1M had achieved. Unfortunately, timing couldn't come at a worst time..

Nevertheless, I can wait to read about this CS, in the future homage car magazines (online?) and recall this moment that shaped its history and it's existence that still handing in the balance..

Wow, that's quite a cut. Wonder if it's due to production or sales. My guess is that all they sold and they need to close the production window to keep on schedule.

In my opinion that (800) would be too many. 350 would be about right considering 405 M4 GTS vehicles came to the states and that appears to have been too many. Arguably there should be more folks interested in the M2 CS vs M4 GTS by way of being a more practical vehicle.

On the flip side even 800 M2 CS models would be a small fraction of the M4 CS models available in the states. At 350 units I suspect they would maintain value reasonably well. The M4 CS is too expensive because supply exceeds demand. An object is worth whatever people are willing to pay. Regardless of actual value.

Toilet paper in a pandemic is a good example.

A fair amount i think would be 450-500 cars , makes sense ! The 1M had way lot and keeps its resale value pretty good!

If we're taking statistics, the 1M had exactly 740 delivered to US customers. Its scarcity made it the only modern BMW, beside the Z8, to actually appreciate in value.

I had a 135i, concurrently, during its model run, so the 1M seemed like that shiny house on the hill and was a bargain, at under 50k, even if we're talking about 2011 money.. It was truly one of a kind, in every aspect.

But , isnt the factor the same ? Lets say 740 1M reached the states , and 500 M2CS. Buuuut, worldwide statistics? 6500 1M and 2200 M2cs , isnt affecting the price as well? By that being said in my case , i am the only one having on order the M2CS in my country currently , and not sure if we can get more allocations since here the population is nearly 1 million. But after the EOP of the M2CS , people can import used cars from UK market cause of RHD cars . Isnt a car appreciate in price because of the worldwide production numbers ? Or it appreciates because only 740 in US ?

If people want it and declare it truly special, then the price will drop a little, hold steady, and maybe rise. If people think it's a polished turd, then it will drop to what the market thinks its worth. Each market will be a little unique.

Make no mistake though, the folks that think this car will drop to the point that it's trading equally with the M2C are going to be waiting a while. My guess is that low to mid 70s will be the risk floor, and CCB won't be worth shit so kiss that 8k goodbye right after you sign the papers.
