Your "must do" cosmetic mods on the M2?
I'm curious to know what your "must do" cosmetic mods are that you've done or are planning to do. So far cosmetic mods on my '18 M2:
- Tinted windows - Black front grille and side gills - Black exhaust tips - M Perf carbon fiber spoiler and mirrors - Ind paint matched front reflector delete - Acexxon horizontal matte rear reflector delete (tbd, on the fence) - Blacked out M2 trunk emblem (on the way) So far I'm really pleased with the upgrades and doesn't look over the top. What were your most essential cosmetic mods to dial in your car the way you want it? |

The mod bug is definitely one to watch out for... Once it bites, you're a gonner!
So, I was lucky in buying mine used with many things I would have wanted to do or definitely would have done: Already done (but would have done if not) : 18% tint Black kidney grilles Black M2 side markers (can't remember what these are actually called) Carbon fiber spoiler Aready done (but probably wouldn't have spent the money myself) PPF on approx 30% of the car M Performance exhaust with carbon tips (super lucky there!) Things I've added myself: Eibach Pro-kit Black M2 trunk decal Acexxon rear "vents" Polar blue start/stop Lush whips floor mats M Performance diffuser Rims (still deciding on which) Front splitter (still deciding which) From there, I'm pretty much done. But I love the IND striped grill. Just so expensive! As are the painted front reflector replacements. Trying vinyl tint first.

I just recently got the Acexxon matte rear reflector deletes and the front deletes also, but still have to install them.
I got the IND black front grill surrounds when I first got my car, and the shop that did my radar/laser jamming system installed them while the front of car was apart. Window tint & partial xpel done. I know it's popular, but I don't want the CF rear spoiler. I installed MPE almost a year ago. Full OEM M mirrors are on the way. I'm in the process of swapping out my steering wheel for the M performance one. I couldn't finish because I had to go to work. I've certainly done more cosmetic mods than I thought I would. This forum has influenced me some. Last edited by qnet; 02-07-2019 at 10:47 PM.. |

Look to use the same clamp system as aftermarket items, but rotated out of sight when fitted. |

A lot of focus on the outside, but I did a bit on the inside as that's where I sit and that's where BMW seems to have saved a buck or 3.
Mperf dry CF steering wheel trim, shifter surround, knob, hbrake handle, floor mats (these are nice but i'm not super pleased with the wear), steering wheel. Remove the silly airbag warnings from the visors (2 cents worth of iso alcohol) Red start\stop button for us pre-Comp guys. And here's one for the exterior that no one's mentioned yet: Those silver hued front turn signal bulbs for us pre-LCI guys. They really sharpen the front end.

I’ve always loved the CSL trunk on the E46 M3. Company called ‘Agency Power’ makes one for the M2, and I think it looks sweet. I think I’d rather go this route, than a spoiler. However, my concern is matching the HS color with the rest of the car. Otherwise, that may be it for me as far as the exterior.
But since I have the M2C, new exhaust will definitely have to be replaced in near future. The stock exhaust hangs like an abdominal pannus on a super obese person. Swap out the wheels, lower it a tad, and I’ll be a happy boy. |

If I ever lost my M2 and had to replace it I would have to do at least:
black grille and gills black rear badge MP CF trunk lip MPE (not really cosmetic but the sound is extremely important to me) |

I always loved the CSL trunk on e46 but the one you mention doesn't do it for me. It feels to "thin". I love your FUPA analogy on the M2C udder |
