My favorite line from the translation:

“The fast M DCT gearbox is cooperated by the steering wheel steering gear, which strikes the driver without pity from the M Sport leather seat.”

My second favorite line is:

“0 to100 km/h in 4.2 seconds with M DCT”

Find a wrecked M3/M4. But, I'm not unhappy with my current seats - just commenting that I like the upgrade. BTW, don't care for the kidney grills much....

Biggest change is the engine on the M2C... Amazed the focus is not more on that. All the other stuff you can almost retrofit on your base M2.

Here is a quick PS with 437M wheels - they will still be available.

Man I can honestly say I really don't like the grille revision. It's too much and feels like forced change. The three slats are kinda cool at the bottom. But the grille is out of control. It kinda works on the M5 because the front end is so wide but this falls pretty flat.

But those wheels are horrendous. Truly awful. What was wrong with just using 666m? Or something that doesn't look like an M sport wheel on a 228? Zero concavity, busy spoke design.

Going to need to get those mirrors and seats retrofitted though.

I like everything about this new M2. The re-designed front is much nicer with a more stealthy appearance. I am happy that the new M2 has the M Buttons on the steering wheel. I prefer the 437M wheels to any other wheels. These are the same wheels on my M4 and they look great in my opinion. I am now leaning toward the orange color as it appears warmer, mayber more brown, and not so much "in your face" bright orange. I prefer the subdued color. And number 1 in my book is the new engine! I know how the S55 performs in my car and I know that the M2 "detuned" engine can easily be tuned to increase both hp and torque. The Dinan Stage 3, with a few other goodies such as exhaust and cold air intake will make the M2 a beast. I'm very happy with the new car design and features. I'm number 5 on my dealer's wait list and will order it asap.

Genuine. But the big listing for BMW in Beijing is the World Premiere of the Concept iX3, World Premiere of M2 Competition and M8 Concept Gran Coupe are supplementary debuts.

Maybe the article downplayed the engine because it’s only a tenth of a second faster 0-62 km/h than the current M2.

I'm liking the color orange from what I've seen so far; not so bright and flashy.

I like the change to the grill. It works well with the overall wider, stealthier appearance of the front-end. It seems to me this new front-end has a lower and wider "bulldog" appearance which I prefer over the previous M2.

It is the same color available on the M140i, M140i, 1-Series, 2-Series and yes.... also the X1. Really that colour on a proper M car?

I would love to have a similar kind of colour on the M2C, but it should have been Sahkir Orange or Valencia Orange. I have my doubts with Sunset Orange.

What did the new M2 say to the S55? "You complete me." This twin turbo set up is going to be worth the price of admission and "market adjustments" to be named.. I say with a tune and sticky tires this might take the crown as the fastest BMW ever... We shall see..

Exactly! My first changes will be to add a Stage 3 tune, cold air intake and performance exhaust (not sure what brand). Probably also add Sport Downpipes. Everything being equal I would have no reason to expect the M2 Competition to lose to an M4 in a drag race with the M2 being lighter.

I certainly hope you are given you're #5 on your dealer list

But seriously one thing I was wondering if we had confirmation that the cooling system didn't carry over from the F8x S55. I had heard that the heat exchangers were dropped. If confirmed, this will reduce your (safe) tuning limit quite a bit though I'm sure the turbos are up for whatever you want to throw at them from typical F8x tunes.

All in all looking at this package I suspect you will be paying a very high price of admission. Worth it? On this forum for sure it will be and the spreadsheet racers will love it. But from a pure driving perspective I'm not sure. We heard ~$10K more. I have trouble believing it's that low, or at least if true it'll be a bargain based on how much new equipment you get. That said very few dealers will sell at MSRP.

I am glad I bought a LCI M2. I’m not a fan of the new front and it appears that the M2 Competition isn’t much faster.

How does this make sense with the current M2 officially rated 0-60 mph in 4.1 with DCT?
