finally got around to installing this, looks pretty good and fits great, highly recommended if you don't want to pay full pop for the MPerformance one

it takes about 3 weeks to get

Bumping this thread. Looks like many of you got the one from ebay seller bulbxpert: https://www.ebay.com/itm/FOR-2016-20...R/222617897792 for USD $315.99

But the OP originally linked the one from ebay seller cuztom_tuning: https://www.ebay.com/itm/FOR-2016-17...-/192282346844 for USD $299.99

Curiously they both ship from Hacienda Heights, CA. I wonder if they are the identical diffuser?

User gtaM2 just sold his from cuztom_tuning here: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1666954 and the pictures look pretty good.

I can't speak to the one from cuztom_tuning, but I ordered one from bulbxpert and it had defects in the weave, pitting(?) in the clear, and the worst of all, the diffuser wouldn't even stay on the car. The tabs could only be pushed in a bit, and the diffuser would sort of just hang there. Without the mounting hardware in place, simply tapping on the diffuser would knock it right off. Thankfully the seller was great and refunded me in full.

I've since gotten an RKP diffuser and have none of the issues mentioned above.

EDIT: I'm literally just noticing mine looks different than others posted on here and looks nothing like the eBay listing where I purchased it from. Mine appears to be an Akrapovic replica (has 2 center "fins" with a more aggressive lip sticking out), while the pictures on here are indeed M-Performance style with 3 center "fins"; oddly enough I like the style i received better

I recently got mine from cuztom_tuning on sale for $275 and just had to try it for that price. I got it in literally 2 days via FedEx. Though my fitment did not appear to be as good as others here :/

Using the guide from the YouTube Video below, I was able to remove my OEM rear diffuser (using my plastic trim removal kit) with ease and without pain nor injuries

The item literally weighs like ounces and the quality isn't too bad for the price. I did apply wax on it just as a precaution prior in the install. I will say that the OEM tabs are more beefier than the eBay one (more on that below)

On to the actual fitment, it's definitely not OEM fitment, one of the holes to insert the plastic rivets, did not line up, so I just used zip tie for that one hole instead. The tabs do align perfectly into the rear bumper and holes, but there are two slight issues:

1. Due to issue 2, there is the tiniest of gap that you can only really see if you are up close to the bumper (as soon as you stand up and\or move back a few feet you no longer see it as much).
2. The tabs don't have much of a "locking" design to it, and as gphung mentions, .......The tabs could only be pushed in a bit, and the diffuser would sort of just hang there... , the tabs don't really "Clip" in like the OEM one does.

It seems to stay in place due to the center tabs holding it and the plastic rivets, but im debating whether to return it due to the side tabs not 100% securing it .. i was really hoping it fit like it did for others on here, especially for the price.

UPDATE: I figured i'd play with the fitment one last time before i requested a return. I wrapped 3M Tape a few times on the cars tab holes (I left the 3M film on the last layer so that the tabs can slide in and not stick to it). Doing this forced not only the tabs to lock into place, but give it a flush look.

I get it, you get what you pay for (and who knows how it'll hold up long term), but with this little adjustment i'm really happy now. It's firm into place and not going anywhere.

I just ordered this VRS style rear diffuser (original design is by Vorsteiner, obviously this is a replica), but this is the most aggressive design I've seen so far. It has the largest fins and it extends and wraps around the rear bumper all the way to the rear wheels which will complement the side skirt extensions and front lip I plan on getting later.

Hope the fitment/quality is good.

I had a bad experience with my ebay diffuser. Forgot who the seller was. It did not fit in grooves and was too narrow. Ended up ordering OEM M-Performance.

VRS style diffuser installed along with trunk spoiler.
Pretty happy with the result.
Diffuser is incredibly aggressive and definitely gives the car a "racing" look.
CF quality seems pretty good. Fitment is 95% perfect and imperfections in alignment are not noticeable unless you really look for them, but for over half the cost of the original VRS diffuser ($700 vs $1600), I can't complain.

Next, larger CF exhaust tips, side skirt extensions and font lip to really continue and complement how the diffuser extends outside towards the wheels.

Just to add my experience, took a gamble on a MP replica on ebay since the seller was US based and I figured returning wouldn't be a hassle if it didn't fit right. Seller communication was nonexistent, but the piece fits properly, although as with the one above, the tabs don't really lock in all that securely unless you wrap them in tape or something (I didn't bother as it seemed secure enough).

item I purchased (no affiliation): https://www.ebay.com/itm/153296970902

I also cut off ~1.5" of the exhaust pipes and fitted some black M4 slanted tips (hit the ends with some black spray paint first). Couldn't be happier with the result

I bought this diffuser today. Appears to be an identical one in this post.

I'll have some 3m tape on standby. Hopefully I have success like the previous posters with this ebay part.
