With the lpfp / fuel-it, you need a second set of injectors, right? Or a big single injector? What are you using for secondary fuel? e85? This add-on has to be built into the tuning, right?

Is the dowpipe catless? Are you getting good help with the JB4 community?

I'm still thinking for simplicity's sake, and due to the massive amount of research, development, and real life testing that Dinan does... That's going to be my route. I am not a peak HP on Paper guy. I had my turbo e36 street tuned, and it was faster than other guy's cars with 100+ more "dyno" HP.

Plus, from owning previous cars with Dinan parts, the resale value is always heads and tails above the rest. And let's not forget that warranty!

This is my delima also, I had a 600+whp e30. I don't know if I wanna keep it mello with a solid Dinan car or get back into the 600s again lol

How much would a dealership charge to install this? I have cash in hand ready to throw at my local dinan dealership but I was wondering what installation would cost. (and I'd assume warranty only works if they install it)

Dinan quotes 13.2 hours install time for all P2 components. Hourly dealership charges are generally higher than an indy shop. I think mine's $140, not cheap by any standard. But they're certified and also accountable if anything goes wrong. I wouldn't trust anyone else with these high dollar components on my relatively high dollar car.

I have the same question. Is the warranty maintained only when installed by a certified dinan dealer? Or can I DIY?

My indy shop is a Dinan dealer and does more Dinan install work than any dealer in town. Not a lot cheaper, but some, and definitely more responsive...

Dinan, can your tune take advantage of supplemental fuel?? For example e85 or having a port injection setup?

I was certain of going with your tune but now seeing BM3 pushing numbers like 446whp 570tq on a dyno jet for the n55 on stock turbos not quite sure anymore.

Apples and oranges. If you add the same meth injection, you can make more power on the Dinan setup as well.

Dinan products are NOT backed by BMW NA; they are backed by Dinan with the difference that some authorized BMW service centers are authorized Dinan dealers too.

Many Dinan parts, especially those linked to your VIN, require installation by their authorized dealers.

The difficult decision, besides initial acquisition, is when something breaks, you may have 3 parties to deal with: your dealer, BMW NA and Dinan. If you have a dealer that has a proven trusted relationship with both Principals, that minimizes the risk.

My speculation is that BMW NA considers Dinan a "frenemy"; i.e. Dinan's enhancements are sometimes good for the BMW brand but they don't have that formal cozy relationship that BMW AG and Alpina have.

What is the main difference in the 11.5 hour quote for the M235i vs the 5 hour for the M2?

So, how much would the installation costs on this be roughly?

For what exactly? What do you want installed? They've announced a number of parts per the OP.
