Dackelone must have thought: "all that «no true ///M car» whining jazz - let me add a new M2 video to the ///Matrix".

I'd love one! Maybe IF BMW AG is listening/reading... I'd be happy to test a M2 for a year or so! But no, I will be keeping my 135i for the near future. Unless I win the power-ball... then all bets are off and I will be moving to Italy and buying an M2.

Time will tell, yes. But you doubt it? Why's that?
You've already demonstrated that you know absolutely nothing about the engine so far... Sorry, couldn't resist. But anyway, if they've underrated this thing like they have all of their other recent engines, the turbo from the regular N55 would already be maxed out. That points to a bigger snail. The regular N55 turbo is really maxed around 350whp on 91 and a full stock exhaust. New block, crank, pistons, I/C, etc. but you doubt a new turbo? How is a bigger turbo not more likely in view of all of the other changes and the power rating?

Yes I doubt new turbo ... if they have done anything at all it will be a tweak to the turbine wheel similar to that of the Pure stage 1 hence the peak power higher in the powerband. Personally I'm not seeing the turbo as the biggest limiting factor on say the M235i setup for me the inability to provide the appropriate fueling to the engine couple that with throttle closures in the ECU tune at higher power outputs.

Umm, well it's a well known fact that the turbo is the limiting factor (before the fuel system) on the N55. Hence, upgrades like the Pure stage 1/2 on the stock fuel system. It's great that you don't feel that is the case. But, alas, it is. There's an unbelievable amount of information out there on the subject. Just like the other recommendations that you do a bit of research on the M2's motor, perhaps some general research into the N55 is in order as well.

So if we were to say run a M235i N55 on 100% E85 on a stock turbo at say 19psi in the mid range tapering to 15psi at redline ... where would the limiting factors be? Turbo or fuel system or ECU tunability ?

Way to throw out a strawman argument. What kind of move-the-target response is that? No one is talking about E85 here. BMW doesn't rate their engine's on E85. We're talking about the likelihood of a larger turbo for the M2 based on the engine's rated HP. That discussion has nothing to do with E85, nor water injection, etc. E85 has roughly 30% less energy than gasoline. So you must flow much more of it, and the fuel system limitations come into play. On pump gas the standard N55 is limited by its turbo. Period. Fact.

I still stand by what I said the turbo on the M2 is that of the M235i ... we will continue this chat when we find out for real.
I really hope your right and the M2 has an upgraded turbo tho .. would be great Quote:

Off topic ...What colour did you order ? or are you sticking to the older models which are easier to mod ?

What color did you order, BTW? Didn't check to see if you already said.
