Well my SA just told me the car will be transported to their dealer in an open container like all BMWs- is that dealer specific? That’s a huge turn off if so - traveling on public roads in an open container during the winter cannot be good for the paint on the car. I may actually bow out of it, what’s the point of delivering it to your house in a closed container and wrapping it if the car already collected chips and other paint damage just making it to the dealer. Winter slush and rain is the absolute worst
It sucks they had to delay production because of covid |

I'd be more concerned that if a small detail like this is enough to push you out of buying that you have other concerns or are nervous for other reasons about buying the car.

My neighbor has a BSM w/ Gold / Red on order, should be going into production soon. We both plan on doing PCD in Nov-ish.

A friend of mine is not able to follow through on his allotment because he is moving out of the country. He offered it to me. I haven’t really been following the info on these. I assume these will sell out pretty quickly if they haven’t already. Comments?

If you don’t, there will be many choices around dealers lots for awhile. Assuming you are in the USA right?

You guys better jump on this, the window closes shortly before these builds go into production and you can't change anything. You'll be stuck with whatever the dealer thinks will sell, which if my experience tells me, it will be some shade of black or white.

Exactly, and I want as few BSM builds as possible so don't let the "man/woman" own you.

Trend seem to be effing ugly then it grows on everybody. Watching the new M3 YouTube ads over and over makes you think twice right? I’m in the acceptance stage at the moment. Although I’m still in denial on the conventional automatic tranny. Killing DCT hurts. Maybe just jump in the Porsche Cayman GT4 bandwagon and call it the day?

I have a F80 and the M3 reconfirmed my order for a M2 CS. Very happy with my ride for the next 5-7 years.

It was tough, but I ended up canceling my order. I feel these cars are going to be discounted in a few months, paying the asking price was too much for me.. in Sweden they have over 7-8 sitting on lots taking discounts and I wonder if the USA market will be similar, especially with the g80.. I don't like how that car looks at all, but are there really 466 hardcore enthusiasts that really understand the value of the CS now and potentially in the future? prob not.. I may regret it later but for you guys that are all in, enjoy it in great health

But for me it was not only the negative equity on the m2 cs but also the positive equity I’d be giving up on my current 18 m3 comp. ultimately, as much as I want the car the adult way in me couldn’t do it. Now if In December some of these cars are taking ten percent discounts, I’d hop on it in a heart beat- I know of two people who canceled their orders to jump on the g80 bandwagon - may be more and i was already seeing a decent volume of allocations available at msrp; the biggest challenge will be finding your spec |
