Has anyone flirted with the idea of keeping the front tire width OEM but upsized on the rears?

It seems like most people upsize the width on both the front and rears. If that isn't done would it adversely affect the handling and performance?

I am currently running 245 stock size at the front and 275 on the rears, mostly due to the fact that the rears wore down quicker than the front. Noticeable improvement to rear grip, but I don't think it really changed the overall handling and performance. I plan to move to 255 for the fronts once mine wear down just due to the greater availability or tires in that size.

Many have done this. It's not great for the handling, but if you don't use your M2 that way then it's perfectly fine.

All these cars wear 305/30 rears.
