"How IMAGE can be derived correctly learned in the northeast area of the plant, the groundwater is no longer. The drainage system is located in 9 to 10 meters depth. ground water is passed into the Rüdgengraben via a drainage system.
If it rises too high on the factory premises, the building of are BMW endangered. Responsible for the system per the contract, the city of Leipzig . And found that it was sometimes incorrectly installed. Even material damage are diagnosed.

The city warns: "The probability of a significant failure of the equipment has increased significantly to experts' estimation." Next: "A non-payment of the inflowing groundwater, would have an increase of the groundwater at the BMW plant premises result. Associated with this would be a possible production shutdown. "

This is a rough Google translation of the article.
If true and it does affect production, then the M2 could become harder to get hold of than people are experiencing at the moment. This obviously doesn't bode well if they can't get it sorted.

AFAIK Bild is not the most seriously engaged newssite.
All for the headlines?
And having read it, much ado about 'nothing'.
That's what I think.

Like I already stated, newssite Bild was exaggerating.
BMW rejects it:

Can you really imagine BMW letting environmental issues and other things affect car production? They would throw a few million $ at this to resolve it before it even got remotely serious
