PS2 Setup Diverter / BOV Help
Hey All, I recently swapped my stock turbo for a Pure Stage 2. I didn't have an upgrade for the diverter valve on hand so I went and reinstalled the stock valve onto the new housing. Everything is going well atm but I'm not sure what could be the long term effects of not upgrading this. I plan on running a full E85 setup in the future and don't want this upgrade to be a hinderance in the process.
I was looking into upgrading to a TurboSmart BOV but I'm unsure if there really is any benefit from upgrading or just leaving it with the stock diverter valve / BOV. I don't care about the *Whoosh* sound that I've seen turbosmart BOVs make I'm more concerned with the integrity of my turbo. Thank you |

I have turbosmart BOV version. It's actually a dual port, means it only vent 50% air out. Very sensitive and responsive during high load and it's not too loud. Works great.

There are 2 versions available from Turbosmart.
The plumb back recirculating version & the dual port version which partialy vents to the atmosphere. Unless your a fan of the whoosh noise stay away from the dual port version.

Just want to say, if you get an aftermarket intake..The plumback version still gives a “woosh” sound..When i installed the crs intake it made the bov noise quite noticeable
