Yes i run CSF fmic. had it installed pre and post intake.

there a lot of factors at play, and not enough accurate data captured to purely state the intake lowers temps. but anecdotally from my videos ive reviewed i have experienced lower IATs. take that for what its worth

I'd imagine that being so far in front of the radiator would have that effect on IATs but also wonder if coolant temps changed at all.

OP, Did you happen to track those?

I was not actively checking coolant, I would sometimes get a rough idea of my coolant temp from just switching over on the p3 gauge iummediately after track session in the pits.

I did not notice any difference in coolant temps, however ive noticed our cars ran kinda "hot" compared to some other cars, but ive never noticed it being too daunting of a number to really garner my attention.

I'm typically actively monitoring oil and IAT while on track.

I assume you;re curious as to whether or not efficiency is being compromised by the front mount air intake. Which it could be, but I honestly don't believe it would hamper the air flow that to a degree where its significantly different from stock set up.

In addition, I believe the buffer between the intake and coolant radiator is the AC radiator sitting directly behind the filter for the front mount intake. Anyone feel free to chime in and correct me if im wrong on the radiator configuration in our f87s

That's got to be like a 8-10ft long from filter to turbo. I'm willing to bet it would work much better if it was relocated to the passenger side b58 style. In order to do so, the MAF would need to be extended and coolant reservoir relocated over to the driver side.

I’ve been looking into this intake - can you post a picture of the kit and where you have to cut?

Anyone have any logs?

why not just delete the maf itself? custom tunes allow that

Anyone - pictures of how it’s installed? Any logs?

I don’t think it would be an “upgrade” over my CTS in terms of power, and I’m curious on how the longer intake trac would move the powerband, but I heard it does have IAT benefits.

Finally decide to put CTS intake as my last bolt-on. I was running stock box intake for 4 years. LOL I'd say, if only for the sound, CTS wins every intake on the market. It has MST hoosh witch sound at low rpm, also loudest suction noise during boost, enhances bov sound when lift off. And it's cheap as dirt.

I'd give it 10/10 as driving experience mods. not sure about horsepower gain.

Hey, can you show pictures of yours installed, what did it entail? I'm considering one for further IAT reduction, did you notice anything there?

I REALLY wish they made this intake double like on the Comp. I understand it's not necessary, but it looks so much cooler. Oh well.
