Wastegate Duty Cycle

Hey all, I've just started to datalog my car and noticed that my Wastegate duty cycle was at 96% and would hit 99/100% with any throttle response. Is this normal for a Stage 2 OTS tune on BM3? I'm new to actually tuning and I'm just trying to understand what this means, if it's bad I would like to get it looked into, if it's normal for a stage 2 tune I'd like to know that. I'll post my parts list below. Thank you

List:
Pure Turbo Stage 2
MST Turbo Inlet
VRSF Chargepipe
VRSF Intercooler
VRSF Catless Downpipe
Akrapovic Catback Exhaust
BM3 OTS Stage 2 Tune - Boost is set at a max of 16.7 psi but I hit 18 sometimes at WOT.

Looks like a possible boost leak.

What makes you say that? I’ll probably have it put on a dyno but still I would like to know where you see this. Thanks

Hard to tell because you didn’t floor it at 2000 rpm.

Redo your log, full throttle 3rd gear 2-7k. Yes power will fall after 6500 due to the stock turbo but it’s standard practice.

I'll redo a log tonight or tomorrow night. Can't find a spot other than hwy to do the pull.

yeah, its pretty normal looking at this particular log. Typically it hits high 90's until it reaches target then starts to open. Your's does this, watch it. When you first get on it, the wg closes until it reaches or gets close to target then opens.

but like others have said and my tuner instructs....Do a 3rd gear pull from like 2500-redline.

You guys are in the 90s at low RPM and 14psi? No only that, but he’s off target until 5000ish RPM. That looks high to me - but we need a longer log.

I'll do a logging session as soon as my my motor mounts are replaced. They kinda messed up atm. I appreciate the info, I thought being in the 90s is bad just for normal driving / any driving.

if you have a PS2. Get a custom tune. The OTS map you're running wasn't designed for an upgraded turbo

I'm wanting to go with Jordan but I can only find custom tunes for 93oct instead of 91oct. I'm looking to go full e85 but not atm. Any recommendations? I live in California so 93 isn't available and I don't want to run an E mixture.

Custom tunes are just that, custom. It will be calibrated to whichever fuel you want to use. Until that can happen just take it easy.
