I ask because the first time I tuned up from MHD stage 2 to stage 2+ I also enabled GTS roar.

Five days later I have the servotronic motor thing fail as per thread somewhere on here.

Now I think it was all coincidence, I had a bad unit that was always going to fail tune or not.

But it got me thinking if it causes additional stress on it to do the GTS roar right on a cold start?

Interestingly even though unticked in MHD about 50% of the time the car does an approximation of roar itself anyway?!

Anyone else notice this? I'm not sure what factors it is dependent on.

Without any evidence beyond my anecdotal experience, I have had the BM3 startup roar enabled for almost two years without any issues.

It's all anecdotal tuning isn't it. Tuners aren't going to release such peer reviewed evidence like other industries so it's appreciated!

Considering its a factory feature on the s55 it should be fine. Been using it 4 years now.
