DIY Brake fluid flush and new steel brake lines BMW M2

Hi all,

As the title suggests, I have made a video in which I replace the stock brake lines with steel braided brake lines and do a brake fluid flush:

Hope this is helpful for any of you and let me know your thoughts!

Thank you,

TheHunterHofman

A pressure bleeder, it looks like a generic one found online I have seen that same style on aliexpress. Another option is the motiv one, but make sure you get it from FCP euro so you have a secondary warranty just in case as mine had a few issues and I reached out to motiv and got zero response back.

Reviving old thread with quick question:

I am assuming nothing special has to be done considering the M2 has DSC?

About to do this for the first time on my 2018.

Thanks

If you don't get air into the dsc module them nothing special has to be done. just a pressure bleed is fine.

No worries, just bleed thoroughly to ensure there's no air in the calipers.

Do you know if the Pentosil DOT4 LV has a slightly different color than OEM?

The process worked like a charm. Pentosin is super hard to see clearly in the reservoir, so anyone doing this, go slow and pay attention.

Thank You once again for answering my questions.

I just put a shop light against the other side of the reservoir and then the fluid level is easily visible. Same for coolant expansion tanks on the F22 chassis.
