Stock Tune - Using NGK 97506

Hi all,

I purchased some NGK 97506 plugs and currently running a stock tune. Should I return and just get the OE replacements? I understand that these run a step colder. I am not sure how that would affect the N55 running unmodified.

Thanks!

These aren’t needed and won’t bring any benefit. Stick with OEM.

I think an additional question is would it bring any harm to the engine?

No it won't harm anything, but it could negatively impact idling as a plug that is too cold causes incomplete combustion.

Will be just fine. That's what I installed on mine without any issues and this is the one recommended by ngk

If you decide to use them, run the plug gap out of the box. Do not gap them down!

So I shouldn't gap them to the BMW spec? It's .028" I believe.
